Rough Country Forged Aluminum Upper Control Arms for 12-18 Ram 1500 4WD - 31201

Truck rides great now. I’ve had my truck leveled on Bilstein 5100s for years and needed to do upper control arms. Install was as simple as you could get. These slipped right in place. Night and day difference after installing these wish I had put these in years ago.

In March I put a 6" full strut Rough Country suspension lift in my 2015 Ram 1500. I had 35s on the truck but wanted bigger tires so I got 37s then decided to do a 2.5" front level and 2.5" rear spacers bringing my total lift to 8.5" and 37" tires. I stay local with my truck but I hated the ride after doing the extra 2.5" I was not happy at all to the point I was going to pull it out and go with 2" body lift to get that nice ride back. I decided I'd try these RC UCA's and see if it helped because I had concerns about the stock upper ball joints failing due to the angle. The job took me aprox 15 min each side and as soon as I hit my first bump I know I smiled. For a truck as big as mine is I couldn't be happier with the ride now. These things are perfect and they look great to and definitely safer then using the stock set up if your planning on adding a lift or a level. If your unsure if you want to pull the trigger or not on these don't overthink it and just do it. Best ad on I coulda done for my truck!

So far so good. About 30k on these with a level lift and then a 2” lift in back to Maintain the factory rake but higher. Sitting on 34.9” tires on 20’s can’t remember the exact tire size as I type this. 2012 Ram 1500. I replaced every piece of suspension at 175k drives like a 2025. These uppers fit perfectly.

If you are considering these.. NOTE: the BALL JOINT --- Warranty 1yr NOT lifetime. I feel ripped off thinking it was Lifetime Warranty... Now, if I only purchased just the ball joint I would understand the 1yr warranty.

I paid $219 for an opened box “like new” and besides some greasy fingerprints, that’s exactly what i received. Does not appear to have been installed and it appears to come with the correct hardware (two nuts and two spacers). Nuts appear to be the correct size. Installed them in the truck and everything went smooth. Funny thing is everyone saying they had to force them in, i think the mounting points on their frame is bent, because i noticed mine was, but that is not the product’s fault! Mine slide right in my 2011 ram 1500 SLT. Only thing that i disliked is the instructions do not provide torque specs. It should be around 40ftlbs for my truck.

I installed these UCA with the 3" loaded struts. Truck rides great, however, I was sent a much smaller nut than what was needed for the ball joint. Took me about 2 hours to find what I needed, which was a 14x2mm pitch, and I was sent a 12x1.5mm. Overall, good quality, just would say to pay more attention when packaging things.

Works. Alignment works for a 2.5” level. 315/70/17s. Clears the tire.

Well made control arm. It fit on my 2019 RAM 1500 Classic 2WD with the 2” leveling spring from RC. It took care of the improper ball joint angle of the stock arm. No more locking out going over a speed bump. Direct fit. Make sure you grease the ball joint before driving. I would recommend extending the brake lines as well as at full droop with wheel turned, the brake line is tight.
