The ASUS Intel NUC (i5-1240P, 16GB, 1TB) is an excellent, reliable, and quick device, perfect for various uses at home or in the office. It works perfectly with a Dell 120Hz 4K monitor as well. The fan does run (quietly) when operating and handling slightly heavier workloads... you can control the power management in the BIOS if needed. In the box, you also receive a VESA mounting plate, allowing you to fit the NUC to the back of your monitor (if it has a VESA mount available) or a secure desk mount. MESH computers supplied this NUC, and I was pleased to see that it had been thoroughly checked over and updated, as well as being provided with a UK plug in advance of dispatch. DPD delivery was both speedy and efficient.

Fault with ethernet and Internet suddenly. All other devices work normal and no problems with router. If someone could get in touch to correct the fault that would be great.

Great value PC. The difference between this and the short version is the ability to add a 2.5” ssd in the bottom. Have had issues with it being able to detect an external portable Samsung hdd that works on other machines, but it does work with other drives so not sure which the problem lies with? Would be good if links to the manuals were provided on the site as they are not easy to find yourself. Seller responded positively to my request, but should be there for everyone without asking.

Better than expected the onboard GFX are strong enough to hardware de/re-encode video quicker than my graphics card can as it’s not hardware supported (Nvidia) using Plex, Adobe Premiere etc
