Dry suit material on top, works amazingly well!
I broke my foot and ankle the day after Christmas. Pro tip: never break anything around the holiday’s because Hospitals are packed. So while I was held captive for 12 hours and got confirmation that yes, my foot was broken, I did some shopping. This was one of the first things I purchased for this journey. I’m so glad I did! We had no idea how any of this was going to work since the condo we live in (is tiny) is not set up to house a disabled person. Getting in and out of the tub is still one of the most terrifying things to do in this new everyday life. I am a fall risk to boot, so to make things easier I shower once every 3-5 days, depending. I was in the military so this is no different aside from the fact I’m a lot cleaner laying on the couch or in the bed. “Field showers” in between actual showers keep me from stinking so woohoo. Thanks for that knowledge military (lol, we’d also call them baby wipe baths). This was to make it easier on my husband who has a demanding job, is doing all the household chores now, most of the cooking, and taking care of me. He is constantly concerned I’m going to fall, and he is right to worry since my balance is off. I was not a good candidate for a broken foot, that’s for sure. Woohoo. I digress. The point is, this was such a smart purchase because once it’s on, I don’t have to worry about it, and my focus is on getting in/out of the tub safely. The opening stretches a lot and my husbands only challenge is getting the stretchy dry suit material around the bend in my foot. He gathers up as much as the material as possible (like you’re about to put panty hose on or something) and put it over my foot the best he can. Since my ankle is broken as well he can’t twist or turn my leg without it being slightly uncomfortable for me for a few seconds, but I live each time so it’s not a big deal. I honestly don’t think any product is going to be without some challenge or some discomfort, and this is minimal for us. He’s very careful to get it as close to the bend as possible, he regroups it and then slides it up my leg. I hope that makes sense. It’s easy to use once it’s on. Just make sure that dry suit material is flat against your skin (it’s like sticky rubber on the inside do it’s just glued to your skin making an excellent seal), and you’re ready. I only use it to shower and there is nothing in there for it to snag on. There is a lot of extra material at the bottom near the toes, but that’s okay, your leg should just be out in front of you, out of the way so extra material is okay for now. If I try to stand to take a shower (I am not at that point in my recovery yet) I would say pull that excess up so you don’t step on it with your other foot. Excess is not a bad thing! Just something to be aware of. I also highly recommend getting a shower stool. My husband purchased one for me and it has helped immensely. I get on it like I get on my knee scooter. I put my knee down on the stool, get my good foot in the tub, stand up, turn around, sit down. Bobs your uncle. Ready for a shower. TLDR: good product, does it’s job, keeps your foot/cast dry, dry suit material at the top for snug but comfortable fit, excess material but that’s okay! If you’re purchasing one of these I hope your recovery goes without hiccup. It gets better. It’s hard, but it gets better.

Waterproof and easy to use
This worked so well. My husband has a would vac due to injury and we needed something that he could put the tubing in as well. We weren't sure this would work, but it works so well and is much better than trying to wrap in plastic. He can use it by himself and it does stay waterproof and keeps the wound dry. I would recommend towel drying the top before removal as it does hold a slight bit of water due to the design, but I think the design is necessary to be waterproof. While we didn't use to go over a cast, I think it would work well for that, too.

Easy & kept dry
This works great! I had a small wound on my lower leg and tried other items that had gotten it wet. This item kept it dry. It will be tight on your leg but once you adjust properly it works. I probably would not wear it for a long period of time but for a quick shower it's perfect.

No water got in
Worked great, no water got inside. It is a little hard getting it on but with help much easier.

Good Quality Cover
Since having surgery on my shin I had to buy something to keep my leg dry while showering. I used this waterproof leg cast cover and it kept my surgery site dry and was very confident using this. Easy on and easy off. Plus it is made from a thick plastic. So no worries of punching a hole through it when in use.

It really works perfectly!
No more plastic bags and duct tape that never work. It’s so good to shower and know your cast or bandages stay completely dry. The seal is really tight and a bit difficult to hold open and slip my foot in at the same time. A third hand is needed to keep the top open. Once you get your foot in it’s completely waterproof. Well worth a little bit of effort.

Not tripping and falling over something too big
If you are wearing a boot it fits. It also comes up to almost your hip. I must have ordered the wrong thing because it’s way too big for half leg wound coverage. M y only advise is to check the width and foot size before you purchase. Btw it fits tight and it was a recommendation from med folks to buy it. It seems they are all 17” foot size and you have to be CAREFULL walking in it. Way to big for wound or cast coverage.
