I needed a wallet that would better protect my cards. I wanted to try one of these "card wallets" and this was only the second one I've tried, so my review is based on limited experience. The wallet was thin enough for my use and was only barely thicker, but also smaller profile, than the slim wallet with no metal card holder I used to use. I was concerned about the trigger on the side protruding too much, but it is fine and is easier to use than the style where you have to move an entire plate over to release the cards. The trigger and card release on this wallet are very smooth and I like how I can hear the cards "click" back into place to let me know they have been secured. I have only two gripes: 1. I thought from the side profile picks that the part that wrapped around the wallet would have an integrated money pouch that wrapped around the wallet. It is actually just two pieces of faux leather sewn together. It would have been nice to have this feature, but I think the two pieces are together like this to conceal the hardware that attached the faux leather to the metal casing. It's fine. 2. The two vertical card holders on the outside of the wallet are just too short. If you put cards in those pockets, particularly things like paper punch cards, they will get jacked up pretty fast. The whole reason I wanted to try this wallet because the cards I had in pockets like this on my current wallet would get their edges really messed up from me taking my phone in and out of the same pocket. So, I was a little disappointed that these side pockets offered even less protection. I am using the longer pocket as a place to put my cash and that seems to work fine.
