Gorgeous Butcherblock but Temperamental to install!
Butcherblock Review! I've used a lot of contact paper, specifically woodgrain in my RV, and this one was a BEYOTCH! The adhesion is excellent, and almost permanent unless youre pulling up a small corner. I had to work VERY slowly and I still had more bubbles than I am accustomed to. 1 roll fits the IKEA Linnmon desktop perfectly but you must align the end of the desktop perfectly. It took me several hours, but I only ended up needing a few of the tools I set out with. TIps: lay it flat on a smooth surface to flatten and unfurl overnight. I simply placed it on the floor with large pillows on top to allow it to flatten and smooth out overnight. prepare your workspace and have handy more tools than you think you might need. TAKE YOUR TIME. Future You will thank current you for the care and attention you spent. Use a flat edge smoother with a felt cover, otherwise you can smooth this paper too hard and it will cut and crease. I've never had that happen with contact paper before, but it's an easy adjustment. Use a hairdyer to smooth down the creases/edges as you work if you're covering a counter or desk. Use a sharp, small blade exacto knife to trim the edges of your desk/countertop. Don't pull it up or stop while you work or you can get cut marks that crease as you smooth. Position it carefully, then sloooooowly glide the blade edge all the way down the seam. This was REALLY fun and easy and came out beautifully. for bubbles, a little finger smoothing can sometimes do the trick. for larger bubbs, press the tip of an exacto gently then smooth with the felt side of your smoother. about 90% will come out well. you might be stuck with a few. no one will ever notice. WARNINGS: do NOT adhere or begin your project in a humid or rainy environment - you will get monstrous bubbles! For some stupid reason, I started the project as it was raining and I learned this lesson the hard way. do not push the edge of your smoothing tool agains the remaining unadhered paper too hard or you will get a permanent lined crease. ask me how I know. do not pop and smooth the bubbles with your fingernail as it can crease and cut.

Long review ahead, sorry...
Okay, so I just finished laying this on my counters today so I can’t really comment on the long term quality just yet. I will, however, update this year after a period of time. Installation was pretty easy for me, but I install vinyl murals professionally so that’s not saying much. I can say, however, that the ability to release air bubbles with the warmth of your hand and just working it back and forth (DON’T pop the bubble if you’re using this product on counters - you’re just creating a hole for water to get into) is a quality feature only found in some of the most expensive materials. I rated the Value for Money as 3 stars because, even though I have a small kitchen with not much countertop, I still had to buy 5 rolls of material due to how short each roll is. The longest portion of my counters required two rolls to cover the full length, then the excess from each of those rolls were too short to use in other areas without having multiple seams. I chose not to go that route since fewer seams mean fewer areas for water to get under. All in all, the material looks really nice and adhered well to my older laminate counters (that even have a little bit of texture to them, I didn’t even sand it down! Just TSP’d). I would recommend taking your hair dryer on high heat and a low blow setting to heat up the edges and really press the adhesive onto the surface you’re applying it on. Super easy!

Great product
I love this stuff. I love the color and the butcher block look. I live in an add on room with no kitchen so I created a dry one. I am able to cook on induction, have a fridge and air fryer and the like and I do my dishes in the main house. My 'kitchen' is this style with wood and white. The 'counter' consists of plywood on some glass front bookcases I had. I covered the plywood with this stuff and it looks so good. It's really thick so it's holding up well. I even bought another roll I didn't need just so I'd have it. I've used it to decorate a few accessories and consider it one of the best purchases I've made.

Great product, Affordable solution to ugly countertops.
My new home dream kitchen came with the original 1994 mauve countertops. Our home improvement budget determined that if I wanted new floors this year, I would have to look at my eyesore countertops for another year or two. I’m from the 80s mauve and baby blue generation and I was super glad when that design disaster when away! I couldn’t look at these counters for another year. I am very very glad to have found this product and am super happy with the results. Now the mauve is gone and I get my floors! Win Win. When looking up close it looks like real wood. However, the install was not super easy. Repositioning causes the material to stretch and bubbles and creases galore. We had some issues with that, but I found that if you heat up the creased areas with a blow dryer and pop bubbles with a stick pin it smooths out. Make sure you use rubbing alcohol before applying especially around your stove. We have some boo boos but they are hard to see unless you are standing just right. If you are looking for an affordable fix that actually looks great, I highly recommend, just make sure you have some assistance on long countertops. Other than the repositioning problems this is really high quality peel and stick!

Looks great!
This is a better quality than your typical shelf liner. I bought this kitchen island on Amazon because the metal frame and openness was what I wanted to compliment our kitchen's oak and iron decor, but knew I would need to change the engineered, dark wood that came with it. I removed the counter top and the shelf easily and then laid this. Be sure to measure accurately, insure it's straight and just brush out the bubbles. I was very pleased that the adhesive was "forgiving" when I needed to adjust. You do need to be careful not to stretch it out if you do need to pull it up to adjust. Super easy. Exposed corners are always a challenge to get perfectly, so we are using silicone corner protectors for now. I will probably find black ones to compliment the aesethic. We'll see how this holds up, and we may need to replace it with real butcher block or oak slabs eventually, but for now we couldn't be happier with this product and how it looks.

Great results! Better than expected!
I had done a lot of research to use contact paper for my very ugly and messed up counter in my rental apartment. I couldn’t stand it. I was very skeptical about this project but figured that even if it didnt look great, it would look better than it looked. I love the results! It is so much better than expected and I am very happy with the results ! Would highly recommend this brand. I like that it has a really light texture that gives it that realistic look. Bubbles are hard to see in this print so make sure that you are checking for bubbles while you are i stalling it otherwise you will end up with lots of bubbles. I had to pu back and readjust a couple of times.

Dents make it worthless
The paper came dented/bent. Because of this it would not lay flat. At first I was upset with how it didn't feel sticky, then I tried taking it off. It wasn't super hard to remove but it wasn't super easy either. It slid around quite a lot until I got a good portion stuck down, then it was better. The pattern for the butcher block is really pretty, but I couldn't leave it on since it wouldn't stick on flat with the dents that came with it. I wasted money buying this since I can't use any of it, but at least it wasnt too expensive I guess.

Very Impressive!
I wasn’t expecting to be impressed with an inexpensive peel and stick product but this has far exceeded my expectations! Although the color of the butcher block has a bit more orange tones than I would like, it’s close enough, and the wood texture gives it depth! I highly suggest installing with a wallpaper smoothing tool, pull out about 2 inches of the backing paper at a time and smooth out any bubbles and continue. I used a small craft knife to cut along the edges to remove extra material. Quick and easy, I had zero bubbles and zero flaws!
