IMO its a solid trainer. It's heavier than your mom but Im not sure thats such a bad thing. I've been learning tricks on this one and then switching to a lighter live blade. its quik AF. I got the black one and the white pattern is a raised texture that seems to help the grip a little. There's some tap and some play but its $15. I'm still a newb but I would recommend.

Really good for the price and sturdy, but latch is not removable

My child loved it, but the paint started to peel off. It broke after a week, and the seller kindly sent me a new one, but that broke after another week… So, it breaks very easily.

It’s easy to use, surprisingly high-quality for a trainer knife that’s under $10 so the value you’re getting for this is just insane. It’s smooth right out of the box. I already dropped it a few times and there’s no sign of it getting looser or anything, so it’s pretty durable overall. One thing I notice though is the left handle, the one with the locking metal on the bottom, is a bit heavier than the right handle. I find it easier to do tricks with the left handle, so just keep in mind that the handles might make or break your tricks! Weight distribution overall feels very good. 10/10 for a cheap knife!
