I’m loving how this product helps me keep my color consistent for my photography. It would be nice if they could come up with a product you wouldn’t have to worry about touching the color swatches on, because the oils in your fingers could affect the colors over time. But as it stands, it is a useful tool that helps me correct the colors in my images to make sure they are spot-on. I will say that the directions for how to use the product to get started learning to color match are a bit tedious, and the company could come up with a better way to teach you how to set it up and pull over once you're done. It is relatively simple to use once you understand the process.

Love using this. If you want accurate colors, then you should consider a Datacolor grey card and color gamut set. I have calibrated my video using the color checker and the photo stills using the grey card. Very light weight and versatile. Fits in my travel camera bag and the lanyard is great to keep close by.

Build quality was good. People who complain about the stiffness seem to misunderstand the intention, it's to prop up easily at predictable angles. While I didn't find it useful I could see it being an affordable replacement card in the Classic form, but not as a passport style. Better off saving for an Xrite/Calibrite with their smoother chips and Capture One ICC profiles.

If you’re like me and shoot RAW mode and are always trying to keep your white balance set accurately, then this little contraption is for you. By placing the open case with the desired color palette exposed to the light your shooting in and taking a couple of shots of it, you’ll be able to tweak your WB to the exact correct temperature in post-processing using the available plug-in for LR / PS or in DxO PhotoLab using their built-in color profile generator. I use DxO and it’s very simply to create the custom profile that can then be applied to all images shot in that session in the same light. The color is amazing when the profile is added. Any color abnormality simply disappears and your left with nothing but true accurate colors.

Do you shoot in color? Well, if you do, and that color matters, you want one of these in your bag. And datacolor does a pretty great job. The passport is well built and the colors are excellent. Fits in a back pocket, or you can wear it around your neck so it's out of the way until you need it. And you will need it. This takes the guesswork out of your post-processing. Simply get a shot of the grid each time your lighting changes, and let your software balance it out. Then you are ready to adjust to your heart's content, knowing you start from true vision correct colors. Amateurs guess. Pros don't need to. Put this in your workflow, make your life easier.

Bought on sale. Item arrived quickly and is exactly what it says it is. I've already started using it to improve my color management and photography workflow. The Datacolor software is easy to use and I'm happy with the results so far. Plus the small size and ability to remove the cards let's me use this pretty much anywhere.
