Q: What is the expiration date for this item? Does it last for 2 years or more?

I received the jar of powdered pectin the first of August. The best buy date is 7/5/24. I read that it can be frozen to make it last longer. I am going to empty the jar into a vacuum sealer bag and vacuum seal it for the freezer. Hopefully this will keep the pectin from deterating., no air or humidity will be able to get to the powder. It will lose it's jelling properties if kept on a shelf. I hope this helps.
