I was horrified when I got carpet beetles but I was warned old houses are full of surprises, so thought I’d share this in case it’s anyone else’s first bug war, as a lot of the Reddit comments are doom and gloom and make you think you’ll struggle for years. They exploded in March/April time and I fully panicked and felt so embarrassed but loads of people online will tell you they’ve had the same thing. I tried some sprays which did nothing and then got this. I think I’ve brought two as I flung it everywhere like a crazy person (I have no kids/pets) and let it sit for a couple of days. My Dyson does not like hoovering this up at all but after a few applications I didn’t have any issues - maybe 1/2 dead bodies and a couple of moths over summer. The first time I put it down it was like a mass grave. Some did come back and I was gutted as I didn’t think it would work but then after the second time it was all quiet on the bug front. I will probably get some more in Jan - feb and put it down for next year a couple of times to get them early and see how next year is. I will be ripping out the rooms and renovating anyway, but this definitely contained the issue this summer!

Easy to use and produced good results. Carpets felt much cleaner and refreshed. Got rid of numerous bugs which I was surprised at thinking I would need to buy a new carpet. Very effective. Would use again but hope I don't have to!

While this information wasn’t included in the product details, it’s something I could have picked up when reviewing the ingredients more closely. Following my vet’s advice, I decided not to use it, but this doesn’t reflect on the product’s effectiveness for its intended purpose—it’s likely excellent for the job. Pet owners may just want to be cautious and double-check the ingredients to ensure it aligns with their needs.

After finding carpet beetles in the living room I purchased this product and the result was carnage! Within a few hours it was a very unpleasant sight as it did it's job. Highly effective and good value for money. Will definitely use it again should the need arise.

Why does it say in the description to leave it on for 2 hours, but when the bottle arrives it says 2 days?! Only just sprinkled on carpets so haven’t seen any results yet, hoping it still works after a couple of hours as I can’t leave it all over my bedroom floor for 2 days!
