Normally I'm leery about purchasing food from Amazon. However, I was looking for healthy alternatives to bread and found this Whole Wheat Pita Bread. The box arrived and inside there was pita bread, instructions on how to keep it fresher longer, and a card thanking me for my purchase. It just felt personal and really added a special touch to customer service. The pita is a nice size, about the size of a small frisbee. They are soft but not thick. They held up to tuna salad, taco meat and toppings as well as a burger! Very impressed!

It was exactly what I ordered and arrived promptly. What we didn’t eat right away I froze. I can warm one at a time. They were very fresh. I only wish they made a smaller one but not as small as the small ones they do make. Once these are gone I will order more.

Healthy whole wheat ingredient, goes well with Indian cuisine and stays fresh for 6 months in the freezer.

I really like this Pita and wish I could still buy it locally! But Amazon is the only place I seem to be able to find it. It was more reasonably priced in the store here. One of the only Pitas I have found that is truly pocket bread. If you heat it a bit before using it is great (as they recomend). Update 11/25/2023: For the price they are getting I expect the Pitas to be packaged properly! The latest order came in an envelop/bag. Luckly it looks like the pitas might not be damaged. They should be shipped in a box (as they used to be). And the nasty note about people reporting damage and missing shipments is purley obnoxious (and was hard to see what it read since it was sticky backed and part of it was mangled on one of the pita bags). I will give them one more try when I run out of these. If the same accures I guess I will say good bye to Toufayan!

We can't buy these pitas locally. The whole wheat taste is very good and they magically open up to take on a great array of tasty stuffing without splitting. We now keep several boxes in our freezer. They are very easy to thaw and make a quick, tasty pita sandwich.
