Ignore the one-star reviews. Most of them are complaining about the size and the size is in the description. Some people can’t read. This stuff is expensive because it’s not just your run of the mill hair product. It does an extraordinary job healing damaged and aging hair. As I’ve gotten older my hair has turned brittle and stiff. This stuff really softens my hair and makes it more manageable. It’s a great product and worth every penny.

I have curly, thick and coarse hair. I had a keratin treatment and when I went back for a cut, they did this masque. I had never used it however she swears by it. I came home and immediately ordered. I have used it 4 times at home now. The last time I left in an hour and covered my head with a cap over. I can honestly say this stuff has really changed the feel/look of my hair. I have been going without gel or products for the last couple days because my hair is so much smoother and not frizzy. I know it is not cheap but it is worth it and a little goes a long way. Again, I have THICK & coarse hair so generally I load up on a mask however this one really spreads better and once you feel it over your hair, you are hooked. I never used Aveda before. The keratin treatment they used was by them too. Seems to be an amazing brand.

For the price there are better products for intensive moisturizing— including better aveda products. It’s average at best. There is also a smell. I can’t put my finger on it but it’s not good. The smell lingers too.

I had to write a review on the Aveda Botanical Repair Intensive Stregthening Masque 5oz (light)! First time you use it, your hair will feel stronger, thicker, more manageable, with less fly aways! I have very fine, thin hair, I've tried everything! When I say a pea sized amount does its job, I mean it! I have long hair passed my shoulders, I wash my hair with shampoo, squeeze out the water, a pea size amount of Aveda on my hands, rub together, then run my fingers through my hair, then comb through with a wide tooth comb, put my hair in a wrap, leave on 5 minutes, then rinse. Ladies we know your hair looks and feels good when we "ourselves" cant stop running our fingers through our own hair. So thats my review.. hope everyone who trys it loves it too!
