It does the job
We use them to transmit the audio output from the sound desk in church to a TV in the creche that is in another room. Very simple to install and works faultlessly. Highly recommended.

50m over Cat 6: unsuccessful. 20m over Cat 8: successful.
The media could not be loaded. The video goes into much more detail, including full, comprehensive testing at 50m (Cat6), 30m (Cat 8) and 20m (Cat 8).However, in a nutshell:Things I liked:+ It was great for transmitting analogue audio, working at 50m.+ It worked well at 20m (Cat 8) with only slight picture degradation (smearing).+ It uses very little power (about 1W per unit).Things I didn't like:- Sending a VGA signal just didn't work at 50m (Cat 6) and was very smeary at 30m (Cat 8).- Both units need to be mains powered - no PoE.Do I recommend it?It all depends on the pricing and your use case. If you can get this for less than other ethernet video extenders, you have a specific need to transmit VGA rather than HDMI and you aren't going to be sending it further than about 20m, then yes. Otherwise, no. It doesn't live up to the claim of 100m on Cat 5e at all.

Could be designed better...
I recently purchased the MOAVEQ VGA Extender 100m Audio Video Signal Transmitter Receiver, and it has proven to be a reliable solution for extending VGA signals over long distances. The extender allows me to transmit audio and video signals up to 100m using Cat5e or Cat6 network cables, which is perfect for my office setup and media center. The signal quality is excellent, providing clear and sharp images on my projector or TV.One aspect to note is that this VGA extender requires power on both ends, which may be a slight inconvenience. However, once I set up the power supply on both the transmitter and receiver, the extender functions flawlessly. It effectively amplifies the VGA signal and ensures a stable connection, without any noticeable degradation in video or audio quality. The setup process was straightforward, and the extender worked as expected without any compatibility issues. It's a versatile solution that can be used with various devices, including PCs, projectors, and TVs. The ability to extend the audio and video signals over Cat5e or Cat6 cables is convenient and allows for a clean and organized installation. Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance and reliability of the MOAVEQ VGA Extender, and despite the requirement for power on both ends, it has proven to be a valuable addition to my office and media setup.Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

100m is a myth, an overkill working with both units powered up from mains
When I opened the box I saw the product looking good (all metal casing, good connectors, looking durable and promising), however, I was quite surprised to see 2 x big power supplies included with the product I thought this must be to improve the signal and make it transmit for longer distance (100m as claimed by the manufacturer), however, upon using the product I could not get a good display from a 100m, just did not work at all, then reduced the cable to about 60 meters the signal improved but still looked like a JPEG that has been too-much compressed, under 50m pictures seems a little more reasonable but when increasing the resolution from 1024x768 into 1280x1024 it didn't cope very well and needed "again" cable to be more shorter.I use already another product that does not require any power supplies and the results are pretty similar, not sure why this has to be powered, I thought; "ok, could it be because it can work with a switch/router?", NO... no network packets, and no network, and therefore not even PoE compatible due to no network-negotiation.Overall, the product felt a little too much to use with 2 PSUs it means more money wasted on Energey that I could do without for now.
