This is a fantastic 2 CD set, recommended by a friend. Having listened to his copy, I bought two, one for another friend and one for myself. Whether you want relaxing background music, or to be transported to the cloisters of a monastery in the Burgos district in Spain, this is the real McCoy. This is no artificial performance by professionals, but something from the everyday life of these monks. They are sharing an authentic part of their day to day lives with the listener, and the result is ineffably beautiful. It transports you to another world, one that is much calmer. Many years ago I visited the royal convent of Las Huelgas in Burgos, and these CDS brought all the aura of that part of Spain back to me. If you like Gregorian chant, then this is the one. The singing is so lovely that I am now thinking of buying the recording of the Mozarabe chants by the same monks.

This cd is one of the most satisfying musical experiences one can have. Ancient, eternal and yet so relevent to today. A chance to escape the stress and strains of the world,play it in the car when you are stuck in a traffic jam or unwinding on the way home from work,you will see what I mean. A commitment to faith, played out in public for individual spiritual nourishment. Put it in your MP3 player, and see how it makes you feel when you are waiting for the bus or being packed sardine-like on the tube. It's a bit of heaven on earth. Just try it and see.

This form of praise, is most beneficial in more ways than one, it not only fills the soul with much needed peace and can, but also has the added affect of keeping any EVIL intrusions out of the house, and any place that this heavenly music is played no matter how low the volume, even the dog becomes calm when this is played through my speaker's 🙀🙀🤗

Nel suo genere, li considero molto belli. Gradita anche la custudia in plastica vecchio tipo, al posto delle "moderne" buste di cartone che per estrarre i CD bisogna riempirli di ditate.

Beautiful Gregorian music. Peaceful, tranquil atmosphere for relaxing, doing yoga, massage, meditation. This is a two-pack CD and both are excellent. Gregorian music has a definite tone that puts the listener into the state of harmony that is lacking in our busy world. When my clients have heard it some have said it reminds them of when they were alter boys! Others have visualized a large cathedral with monks kneeling, clothed in hooded brown robes. It brings you mentally into a different time and place and reduces the stress levels people normally function under.
