Excellent films. Worth watching over and over.

Having read several Jack Reacher books by Lee Child, I have become a fan of this genre. Seeing that this "2-Movie Collection" was available I looked forward to seeing the stories translated to film. The story line in both films was well produced and enjoyable. However there was one major drawback in the productions. In the books Jack Reacher is described as being 6ft 5in and 250lbs and thus is taller than any other character. In the films Jack Reacher is played by Tom Cruise, a very good actor but nowhere near the correct character height. Apart from these shortfalls. both films were extremely enjoyable to watch.

Even tough he does not look like book character but I think Tom C done good job in these movies. Easy to watch and I like them.

Both of the films in this collection are very high caibre productions. Both have clever plots with believable action and the occasional humourous moment. The second film of the franchise maintains the expectiations from the first and maintains the style, although it does have ever so slightly lighter themes/tone, hence the lower age rating. However, this does not have any negative effect on the quality of the film. The case for the set is a cardboard sleeve with a nice, smooth finish. The two DVDs are packaged in their own full size cases, which is better than some other boxsets which use half size cases without a proper disc clip or put two to a box and rearrange the graphics.

Ok, auch wenn Tom Cruise für die Rolle von Jack Reacher vielleicht nicht ganz so gut gepasst hat wie es Allan Ritchson in der Paramount Serie Reacher tut, immerhin wird Reacher in den Büchern genauso beschrieben wie Allan Ritchson aussieht, so hat Tom Cruise auf jeden Fall, wie immer, richtig gute Arbeit geleistet. Cruise'es Reacher Filme sind konsequent Spannend und haben jede Menge Action und eine richtig gute Story zu bieten. Wenn man die Bücher nicht kennt und man nicht weiß wie Reacher Beschrieben wird, hätte es wohl nie Zweifel gegeben wegen Tom Cruise als Jack Reacher, denn die Filme sind verdammt gut.
