UPDATE 4 February 2025 Luckily I always have Asurion Complete Protect from Amazon. To me that's essential. Things that are mechanical sometimes break. So when I had the error messages with no resolution possible, I contacted Asurion on the web site ASURION.COM/AMAZON I supplied the information and images requested and after that contact Asurion by phone, yes I got a PERSON without excessive wait. After a few minutes on hold, I received an email with an Amazon Gift Card for the full amount. I was seed to recycle the defective one or Ooni would send me a prepaid label to send the defective one back. Then I immediately ordered another Volt 2 and it arrived yesterday the very next day after I reported my claim! This is exceptional Customer Service from both Ooni and Asurion. In the past 6 months, the Asurion Protect has saved me over $1,000, both times with Pizza Ovens. The 1st time with a Chefman Pizza Oven and the 2nd time with my Ooni Volt. The Asurion plan covers all new purchases and PAST purchases as far back as one year! I'll cook my 1st pizza on the new Volt tonight. -------------------------------- UPDATE 2 February 2025 It wored great for the. 1st 2 months. It even removes the smoke from inside. Then when I went to use it next, E-12 was displayed and it would no longer work. The user manual and Ooni Web site haws no information on this message. Also, the interior glass window would not get completely clean, even when I used the cleaning methods suggested. I emailed Ooni for assistance and messaged them on their Facebook page. No response. Thank GOODNESS THAT I HAVE THE ASURION COMPLETE PROTECT service, which covers all Amazon purchases including those that were purchased up to 1 year ago. While I was on the phone with Asurion after uploading the photos and documents requested on their web site, the INSTANTLY sent me an Amazon Gift Card for the full price. And I just placed an order on Amazon for another Ooni Volt 2. I really recommend the Asurion Complete Protect plan which is only $16 per month or so. Asurion told me to safely dispose of the non-working Volt 2. I had a Chefman indoor pizza oven that the Volt 2 replaced. I had received 2 defective Chefman ovens ao I suggest that you consider avoiding them -------------------------------------------- IItem was very well packed in a very large box. No apparent damage. The first thing I did after I took it out of the box and placed it where I wanted it, was read the manual. The user guide said to "season" the oven at 850° for 30 minutes. I did that and the oven reached 850°. Seems quality built compared to other indoor pizza oven I have bought and returned. (Chefman and others) It disburses it's smoke by itself internally through a filter. My Neapolitan Pizzas came out perfectly every time. Since before buying this, I bought consecutively, three less expensive "indoor pizza, ovens", and ended up returning each one. It would've been easier on me and cheaper, if I simply bought this one in the first place. There's a very big difference between this Ooni Volt 2 Pizza Oven and the others. Consider not making the same mistake as I did initially with inferior "cheaper" pizza ovens. If you want high expectations met, buy this one and save yourself some grief.

This is an incredible pizza oven.Pizza is a life-long obsession and I baked them professionally for 13 years. It is also excellent oven, broiler, salamander, warming drawer and proofer. It makes an incredible pie. Pizza- everything Ooni says it does, it does and does well. Neopolitan crusts are puffy with excellent leoparding on the bottom. Fast. Fast bake. No turning of the pie. The presets are excellent and temp control excellent. Proofing is wonderful. This is also a great oven for cakes, pies, anything. Recovery time is fast. The steam vent release control humidity very well. Yes it is small but so hot for steaks, chops, wurst. Roasting vegetables with a quick broil at the end…. Amazing. Besides pizza tools, I am using the 12 inch lodge fry pan (rounded small handle) for meats, potatoes. You want a stainless 12 inch roasting pan with a rack for meats. well insulated, I store cutting boards on top of it. Its large window and bright interior light are great. In my preheated cast iron pan I made a rib eye steak in a 600 degree oven. ! I will slow roast a 2 bone prime rib for Christmas. This machine is top quality and has changed my kitchen.

I had to return it because of a damaged really flimsy pizza stone that was cracked in half. The outer box had no physical damage. Really basic poor packaging used by Ooni on this $699 product. Ooni customer support couldn't help me on Sunday. I got an email saying that they would get back to me in 1-2 days. Umm what? I had a pizza party planned. If they know their boards are prone to breakage then they should have replacement stones available at Amazon for this very reason. But it all worked out because upon watching a few more video reviews I purchased a Chefman Pizza oven for a fraction of the Ooni's price and it makes awesome pizzas!

I own two Ooni Volt 12 ovens, and they’ve been excellent. Reliable, safe to work around, and honestly one of the best electric pizza ovens available. Because of that experience, I was excited to try the Volt 2. Unfortunately, it feels like a step backward. Instead of improving what made the original Volt great, this version seems designed to compete with other ovens already on the market. The Volt 12 felt overbuilt, safe to work around, and dependable a real workhorse. The Volt 2 feels different. Yes, the larger window is nice, but the exterior gets extremely hot. Touch the wrong spot and you’ll burn yourself. That’s a big departure from the original design, which felt much safer and more thoughtful. Another issue is heat retention. After making a few pizzas you’re realistically waiting two to three hours before the oven is cool enough to move. That limits how flexible it is in real-world use. The original Volt felt like a product designed by people who cared about durability and usability. This one feels like a redesign focused on production and competition instead of improving the experience. If you already own a Volt 12, you might actually prefer to keep it. And honestly, if someone out there has a Volt 12 and wants to trade for this Volt 2, I’d seriously consider it.

Ooni makes an incredible pizza maker. After upgrading my Cuisinart pizza maker, I noticed a significant difference in the quality of the pizzas.

This is the best investment in a kitchen appliance we've ever made. Best pizza ever. Make sure you get all the accessories and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. This gets hot, so no messing around. Also make sure you have a good vent fan or window because it does emit a bit of smoke. Very much worth it.

Expensive but worth it. Pizzas are great and fun to make.
