Game changer for walking on ice/snow covered ground
Superb for walking on slippy ground ice or snow . Very easy to slip over any footware

Good traction and inspires confidence when walking outside
* Physical I love walking. Been exercising this way for over a decade. And I have lost a huge amount of weight with an intermittent diet. My sister noted I was frustrated with the slippery paths. And staying indoors to keep safe. She put me on ice grips. I decided to look in Amazon's databases for a good solution. I was taken aback when they arrived, as I thought it was just one grip. These grips are made in France. They look and feel lightweight. They are not under-engineered. If you've bought the correct size, they will fit your footwear. I have used and returned to several times, the same design cross of walking boots and trainers made by Clarks. These grips fit well and seem secure on my boots. I have taken several shorter walks to try them out, and these give great traction and inspire confidence when outside in the cold weather. You still need to walk flat-footed, shorter than your normal stride, and both slowly and carefully. I checked with my family members and my uncle texted me back and he has the same model. They have lasted him for winter weather after winter weather. There is a Pro version available on the Yaktrak store, if you are contemplating serious expeditions in the snow and ice at around £33 * Update 13 January 2026 One of the rubber straps has come loose. So bought another just in case. Ok is snapped. It's not perfect. But it's better to buy another just in case than to fall on ice that could come soon.

Effective in most conditions
Picked up a pair ahead of the winter, knowing how slippy my local area can get after snowing, or when things have iced over. In all, I've found these have been very effective for the most part. Walking along pavements where snow has already been packed down from others stepping over it was as easy as walking along a bare pavement, as was the freshly fallen snow. Some icy surfaces can still be a struggle. I've had a few cases where I've felt one of my feet slip a little when trying to walk over surfaces that were more icy than snowy, depending on if they were able to dig into the ice at all. Similarly, once the ice/snow is starting to melt to the point that its loose from the ground, the grips may just slip when walking on that surface. When putting the grips on, they do feel a bit tight when you try putting them in place, but once on, they feel secure enough that they arent going to slip off. While they arent perfect, they have really done a great job of making my walks through the icy conditions easier than in just my regular boots.

Not for everyday use, but great for when you do need them.
In the end we didn’t use these when we bought them for a recent holiday. However, was really impressed with the quality and fit of these when they arrived so decided to keep them for future use. Probably won’t need to use the regularly, but in the event we do they slip really easily over boots and shoes - therefore giving extra stability in icy conditions. Definitely a better to have it and not always need it rather than need it and not have it kind of order!!

They Work Well.
Been testing these out in the snow and ice and they work well. Much more grip than if I didn't have them on. They do slip a little on ice but they do bit in and I have not fallen over yet. Another positive is that this style wont ruin your floor when you get inside. Fit wise they stretch and are not an issue on size 11 shoes with the large size.

Excellent performance in extreme conditions
Purchased for trip to Northern Norway in 24 where there was heavy snow and thick ice on pavements. Performed very well and prevented any falls

Great!.. for the short time they last
Lightweight, easy to fit/remove and very effective for snow and ice. I wear barefoot shoes so the profile of these was far more comfortable than traditional spiked crampons with very little downside in performance. Unfortunately they are not the most durable product, having used these for the three peaks challenge they started to fail halfway up Snowdon (they were only fitted to my boots once I reached consistent snow/ice on each mountain) So a 2-3 use product.

Great purchase!
Fantastic! So pleased with these. They all laughed on Christmas Day when I opened these (bought for myself) but they weren’t laughing any more when I strode out confidently this morning as they slipped around hopelessly on the snow and ice.

Icy winters are no match for these! Easy to remove when entering buildings and a snap to put on before going outside.

My boot is a size 40. It is super difficult to put on and fell off within 5 minutes of walking in the ice. I bought the yaktrak prob(with the strap) as well and that works much better.

They work. It will still be pretty slippery on ice with these. But at least you have a fighting chance with these on.
