If you're getting the sony xb100 speaker for the first time, then you're in for a real treat. Don't let the small size of this speaker fool you. The sound is surprisingly good for its size. The battery life is very good, lasting the promised 16 hours and maybe even more. It is very easy to connect to a bluetooth device. If you want a small speaker to sit on your nightstand and listen to music in your room, then this speaker is for you. I have listened to audio books, audio dramas, and various genres of music, and the xb100 handles them all first rate. You do get some nice bass from this speaker. I like the travel case that comes with this speaker as well. Another feature that I really like, is the start up and power off sound of the speaker. For someone who is blind, this is very important. Again, get this speaker and enjoy.

If your a music aficionado you probably won't like it as the bass is weak. I use for golf and it works perfectly for me. Paired up with my IPhone easyily.

What can I say, it is a Sony!!! It really sounds great for this small speaker! Yeah you can hear the bass too, not too loud like the bigger bluetooth speakers but surprisingly it is there.
