Nice for travel cooking
Sometimes you need to cook at someone's house where they don't have basic supplies? Me too. Got this primarily for seasoning cast iron skillets without contaminating wife's cooking shortening. These take up less room. Also can use them while traveling to places you need to cook like church or relatives & have what you need to grease a cakepan or whatever. Convenient item that lasts a long time until you need it.

Still a good product for an old fashion recipe.
This product is just like I remember as a kid growing up in the 60’s. I wanted to make an old family recipe that called for crisco and butter just would not have the same results. I remover when this product came to market as convenience over the rather large bucket as my family called it. Back then it had a fitted container to store the open log to keep it fresh. I was able to get the texture I needed for my baked goods with no after taste. I am happy that I tried this product all these years later and it still can produce the results I was looking for.
