NYX Cosmetics Eye Brow Cake Powder - Taupe/Ash

I realise that most people probably use this powder to tidy up and improve the colour of their existing eyebrow hair. However, I unfortunately suffer from alopecia and recently lost my eyebrows again. I've tried just about everything. Mainly mascaras to try to get a 'hair-like' look. All I end up with usually is a smudgy black mess. It looks like two spiders are sitting on my forehead. It was taking me up to 3 hours (no, really - 3 hours stuck in the bathroom) to get something near passable. You can buy false eyebrows but I just didn't want those. Anyway, I bought masses of different products. Some even from the USA. Finally, I saw this and thought I'd give yet another try to another product. I say finally because that was the last I needed. It is excellent. I can't praise it highly enough. I won't go into long detail about how I use it. Suffice it to say it makes a really natural look as a base or just on its own and now, I can look 'normal' within 10 minutes or so if I need a really quick patch up. Thank you to NYX and thank you to Amazon. You've have saved me from what was beginning to be a really traumatic and upsetting start to the day with a condition which is truamatic enough by itself. Brilliant.

I've tried the NYX blonde eyebrow cake before and it was almost right, but slightly too red/warm for my ash blonde hair and pale cool-toned skin. Although the taupe/ash colour looked dark I thought I'd give it a go and it is perfect! I love it, I've finally found my brow colour. I usually use my finger to smooth a bit of the wax over, then lightly build up the powder until it's the shade I want, brush the spoolie over a couple of times and finish off by tidying up with some makeup remover on a cotton bud. As a side note, I hate the little brush that comes with the NYX eyebrow cakes - I think it's too stiff and doesn't pick up enough product. I prefer to use a softer eyeliner brush. The little spoolie is good though.

I am really happy with this product. I use it almost everyday and I think its great. Definitley much better than using a pencil which can tend to come out looking quite harsh. This eyebrow cake powder leaves your eyebrows looking very natural. I also love the wax. I apply it beforehand although there aren't any specific insturctions so I guess its just up to you. I think applying beforehand creates a nice smooth base for the powder to be applied. Fab product, would definitley buy again once I've run out.

I am a 100% eyebrow lover and brought this product after watching make-up-eyebrow techniques on You Tube and decided it was time I get rid of the pencil and embrace the powder... I love this powder... the slanted brush it comes with is not great, I don't even use it... I use this powder to outline and fill in my brow and use concealer to finish the look... I am addicted... I have black hair and think the dark brown is a good colour match and corects a natural look.

After receiving the wrong colour the company was very good at sending out the correct colour quickly. The lightest colour i still find quite dark in this pack, and i tend to just use this one. I do not use the brushes i do not like these. The angles brush is far to hard for my liking and the bristles are horrible. The powder is good but i do not like the wax either i think it looks funny on but that is just my personal preference i guess.

Unfortunately i am the only girl in my family with lighter eyebrows, i have previously relied on pencils to fill in my brows and whilst they do the job they can sometimes be a bit too harsh . I love this powder it does the job and if you have dark hair like mine you have the choice of using the grey powder for day and the darker more defining black powder for a evening out. Also it lasts for ages i have had mine for a good few months and the powder is still half full a good value for your money. I have not used te wax but that's because i tend to use clear mascara or leave them .

It was just want I needed. I’d lost my eyebrows due to medication- I found this very useful in creating a natural look. It’s powdery so I also needed fine-tipped eyeliner to create a few hairlike strokes on top of it. But this dark grey/black was perfect for filling and giving that blurred bushy look.

Have previously bought Benefits product at over 4 times the price but the colour was far too red. NYX gives a really good choice of brow colours and the Taupe/Ash duo that I chose was an excellent match for my brows. When used with the vaseline (?) it lasts all day. Brushes are very basic but functional and the kit doesn't take up much space.

La verdad que estoy encantada. Creo que ya llevo más de 1 mes usando este producto y puedo darme cuenta que me durará bastante aún usándolo diariamente. Me parece que está a muy buen precio. Es muy fácil de aplicar y creo yo que con poquito ya le da forma a tus cejas y las rellena de una manera que parece bastante natural. Aconsejo comprar el paquetito de spoolie y pincel para cejas de la marca EcoTools también aquí en Amazon puesto que los que trae son pequeñísimos aunque buenos para un retoque al traer el estuchito en la bolsa ::)

I have always used an eyebrow pencil but this powder is wonderful. It looks so natural and never seems to rub off. I actually use both colours. My own sparse eyebrows are dark brown so I use the dark brown shade very lightly just to fill in any gaps. Then, I fill in everything with the medium brown which looks much softer and more natural than a solid dark brown.

This is the first eyebrow filling product I've ever purchased. I only recently started plucking/shaping my brows so I decided I might as well start filling them too. I decided to try this since it was affordable and came in the color I needed. First of all, it's pretty small, but perfect for keeping in your purse for touch ups. Even though it's small it should last me at least a year. I'd never used a brow product before, so I wasn't exactly sure what I was doing. I'd looked tutorials on the internet but I was still unsure. I tried one brow with the wax and one without. First I use the spoolie to brush the wax onto my brow, I then use the brush to gather some black powder and began to fill in my brow. At first it kind of smeared around, and I even had some fall out under my eye. I found if I brushed only once on the powder it wouldn't pick up as much, no longer leaving fall out. I did however end up having to clean up around my eyebrow from the smearing. It looked really nice, the wax made the powder much darker, and even had a nice sheen to it The second brow I only used powder, It was more subtle and less noticeable than the brow with wax. The color was also less dark and opaque The one with the wax lasted slightly longer than the one without. I did end up having to touch it up after a few hours (the tail of my brow completely gone, but the main part of my brow still looked good) I also have very sensitive skin, especially around the eye area, and this did not irritate my skin at all It washed off easily with my regular cleanser. Overall, it's a great product for a beginner. I found it very easy to use, it looked very natural, and the powders and wax can create multiple looks.
