MSI PRO B650-P WiFi Motherboard with AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Desktop Processor (AMD AM5, ATX, DDR5, PCIe 4.0)

So i bought this 7800X3D/B650 combo for my new custom PC build. I see quite a bit of bad reviews from people saying the B650 gaming plus is buggy, but I have not had any issues. Before installing this M/B into my case, I did a BIOS flash to the newest MSI b650 driver just to make sure I get the most out of this setup. So I installed everything on my pc case, and it was time to do the first POST/Boot, so I can install windows 11. Everything posted right up, and it was a breeze. Super quick with everything with the 7800X3D. The motherboard itself feels quality, and the build quality is awesome, and it works great. I paired this combo with 32gb of DDR5 ram, and a ASUS TUF OC 4060ti, and I get 80-120fps on MSFS with max graphic settings at 1080p, with airliners that usually use up lots of memory. But 80-120fps is plenty good enough for me. On some of the other games, I get 150+fps with everything maxed out. Super happy with this 7800X3D/B650 Combo!

I could have gone with the 3D -this cpu never gets hotter than 55 degrees Celsius under AAA gaming on max settings. Most bang for the buck I have got out of a CPU. Battlefield 6 runs like a dream with a 5070 Ti

Great deal for these two products. Fast CPU for music production and the motherboard has plenty of ports and slots I was able to connect all front panels and everything fits. Looks great too and is sturdy!

My son and I struggled with the build when using this combination because Windows would either fail to load or we would just get the MSI logo showing on the screen and it would be stuck there. As a last resort we flashed the BIOS with the latest version, and after that Windows loaded, updated, and everything is working fine. The MSI website provides the latest BIOS file to download and a video with instructions on how to do this. Note that we did not use the Beta version, but used the most recent, final version showing underneath the Beta file. I just wanted to mention this in case you might be having the same issue we encountered. As of now, it is working beautifully. If things change I will give this review an update....hopefully it will continue to work as expected. I hope this might help someone!

This is a real disappointment.... The first motherboard/CPU combo I received was DOA, there appeared to be bent connectors on the CPU socket itself, obviously it didn't boot. Sent it back, took nearly 2 weeks to get the replacement. The replacement arrived and I assembled it. It has a weird boot problem. I seems to take 2~4 minutes to boot up. When it does finally boot, it runs OK. I've run for about 36 hours without problems, until I reboot. I've built dozens of systems, so I did the normal things like using a different M2 drive for boot, using half memory sticks, etc. The scary thing to me is that when I read through the other reviews, I see the exact same symptoms that others have had. The problem now is do I return it again, wait another 2 weeks and hopefully get a working system? My advice to anyone reading this review is to scan the other reviews before making your purchase.

Good midranged motherboard. Not “top of the line” but definitely not bad. It’s nice that it comes bundled with a CPU. I wish the instructions were a bit more clear for first time builders though.

The kit worked great. Im still fiddling with the small details like some drivers. But its working great.
