Key strengths Battery and solar: With the Power Sapphire solar lens, it can reach around a month of smartwatch use and very long GPS runtimes if you get a few hours of decent sunlight per day, making it excellent for ultrarunning, multi‑day hikes, and expeditions. Solar does not fully “self‑charge” the watch but noticeably slows battery drain, especially in bright conditions. Outdoor and GPS performance: Multi‑band GPS with SatIQ automatically balances accuracy and power use, giving strong positioning even in canyons, forests, or cities, plus full topo maps, ski maps, and ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer, compass) for navigation. Training and health features: It adds metrics like Hill Score and Endurance Score on top of Garmin’s existing Training Readiness, VO2 max, HRV status, and robust sleep tracking, so runners and endurance athletes get very detailed feedback. Rugged hardware and flashlight: The 51 mm case with is built for knocks and 10 ATM water resistance, and the integrated LED flashlight (white and red with strobe/cadence modes) is surprisingly useful for night runs, camping, or emergencies. After a lot of research and comparison, I finally went with the Garmin Fenix 7S Pro Solar, and I’m honestly thrilled with the choice. For the feature set it offers, the price is incredibly fair — in fact, it's a fantastic value considering the quality and durability. This model is about £200 cheaper than the sapphire glass version, but I bought a tempered glass screen protector on Amazon for only £8, which works perfectly and keeps the screen safe. I have a small wrist, and the watch looks very sleek and balanced — not too big, not too small. I switched to this from the Fitbit Sense 2 and was worried it might feel heavy, but surprisingly, it feels incredibly light and comfortable on the wrist right away — even more comfortable than my Fitbit. The solar charging is a real game-changer — it extends battery life noticeably, especially if you're outdoors often. GPS accuracy is excellent, as expected from Garmin, and the multi-band GNSS support makes a real difference during hillwalking and hikes. I also appreciate the breadth of training and health metrics — heart rate, pulse ox, VO2 max, HRV, stress tracking — everything is there and works reliably. The new Elevate sensor performs well, even during intense activities. Maps and navigation are top-notch with detailed TOPO maps and great route planning support. The UI is intuitive, performance is snappy, and the touchscreen + button combo is a perfect balance. I also love the customizability — from data fields to widgets and watch faces, you can tailor everything to your needs. A small feature, but the built-in flashlight has turned out to be really handy — I find myself using it often, and it’s surprisingly useful. As a gamer, having the gaming activity profile on the watch is an amazing bonus. It helps me track whether gaming is actually relaxing me or causing more stress. I also use this feature while watching movies, since I watch a lot of films. It’s not essential, but definitely a very interesting and unique detail for me. In short — if you're looking for a serious multisport watch that delivers pro-level features without the bulk of the bigger models, this is an outstanding choice. I'm completely happy with it and have zero regrets.

Bought this to replace my Fenix 5s as battery life was degrading. Clearly had lots of experience with the apps and button functions but can see why newcomers might struggle to start with. Have used it for running, walking and Pilates with no recharge needed for a week of use with little actual sunlight. Seems weird to pay more for a smaller size but with thin wrists the larger models look like saucers. Has a multitude of functions that I will never use but so did the old watch. The addition of pulse ox, health checks, training plans etc is interesting and I might get to play around with them at some point when I have downloaded the manual. One point is that it states the watch comes with pre loaded topo worldwide maps. It doesn’t and given the map size of 6gbs per region with the watch having 32gbs of storage it couldn’t. I downloaded the ones I needed from garmin express after doing the updates. Like the flick watch face light and the flashlight but disappointed the analogue watch face app I had on the old watch is no longer available. So overall a good start and will update as time goes by.

Great watch and more. Ideal for athletes from all sports and training regimes. And it tells the time, plays music, has maps and a torch!!

Me decidí por el Garmin fenix 7s por su tamaño, a diferencia de sus homólogos, este mide 42mm, tamaño perfecto para la muñeca de un hombre de 18cm, es el estándar de relojes de vestir. Los pros: -Es un reloj muy bonito, es perfectamente un reloj que puedes vestir un día cualquiera y a diferencia del modelo negro y rojo, no llama la atención tanto como si fuese un reloj deportivo. -Recibes todas las notificaciones en la muñeca, está perfectamente sincronizado con el móvil y recibes todo tipo de notificaciones en el teléfono. -Los mensajes de WhatsApp se pueden leer. -Aviso de entrada de llamadas. -Botones configurables. -La pantalla se ve increíblemente bien al sol -Posibilidad de guardar tu música en el reloj. -A nivel deportivo: Infinidad de programas de salud y deporte El GPS no falla, la música se puede reproducir durante la actividad deportiva (con cascos bluetooth) y no se desempareja nunca. - En el prime day lo compre por 550€ la versión 7s pro solar Los contras: - (El peor) lo venden como el reloj con la duración definitiva, es un chasco, en este modelo, la batería no llegó al viernes, cargándolo un domingo a la las 00:00 con un solo dia de actividad física de 40min con música (5 días de uso moderado). La carga solar que llevó el reloj se puede observar en las imágenes. -En internet lo venden como modelo femenino, haciéndote dudar si es una buena compra o no. -En comparación con otros relojes de este estilo multideportivos la única ventaja es poder ver mapas y la pantalla en exteriores, un reloj de Apple o Huawei, le supera en funciones y para un usuario medio no va a notar la diferencia. -Le faltan apps para el reloj y las que tiene no están nada desarrolladas, tiene la opción de conectarse a nuki pero no funciona muy bien y es un poco absurda ya que necesita el teléfono para funcionar. -La carga solar para que realmente sea efectiva hay que echarse muchas horas al sol. ------------------------------------------------- En definitiva es una buena compra si haces deporte en exteriores y te gusta ver mapas topográficos en el reloj, aunque la pantalla es muy pequeña en un momento determinado te puede salvar de más de un susto si corres en la montaña. A nivel profesional para una persona que lo necesite por su función de mapas como un militar, habría que irse a la versión más grande para que se vea bien la pantalla y la duración de la batería no se te coma el reloj en pocos días. Pero si quieres algo intermedio y funcional, un reloj que sirva para todo sin estar en lo último de tecnología, este reloj es adecuado. -------------------------------------------------- Iré actualizando duración de batería en una semana de entrenamiento. -------------------------------------------------- ACTUALIZACIÓN Después de usar el reloj durante una semana entera de deporte, una media de cuatro horas al día de lunes a viernes, llegó al domingo con un 10% de batería, hay que tener en cuenta que le tengo todas las funciones activadas (en este caso sin usar música), con las notificaciones del teléfono. Merece la pena si quieres un reloj discreto para vestir a diario y hacer deporte, sino yo me iría al modelo 7x para mayor batería. La app del teléfono no es gran cosa, hay otras marcas que tienen apps más vistosas como amazfit o Huawei, pero cumple. En definitiva, con este tamaño, es probablemente el mejor reloj deportivo --------------------------------------------------------- NUEVA ACTUALIZACIÓN Lo llevo usando casi a diario desde que lo compré, hace unos meses lo uso con música, en el gimnasio, el consumo en 2 horas de entrenamiento usando música es del 40%, dura dos días la batería si usas la música. He tenido un pequeño problema al usar multi deporte, aveces que queda la pantalla bloqueada, y no deja hacer nada, hay que apagarlo a "machete" lo bueno es que guarda el ejercicio anterior al bloqueo. Sigo recomendándolo a pesar de esos pequeños problemas
