My little niece isn't a huge fan of the dentist and I thought this would be perfect for showing her how cool dentists can be and getting her to roleplay it before she goes. I love that you can get career Barbies now, and the little playset has so much in it -- it's a great gift. Pros: • Two dolls included • Lots of little accessories • Sturdy little chair for little girl • Inspiring for little ones Cons: • None Brand ============ This is official Barbie merchandise, so you can expect good quality and the exact same design as you're used to. I actually don't think it's badly priced even though it's mainstream, given what you get with it. The toy ============ On unpacking the toy, we were pretty excited to see all the little bits. You get the two dolls, the chair, the sink and lots of little accessories like a toothbrush, toothpaste and dentistry tools. They're obviously very little and are suitable for older children (I'm sure we've all swallowed Barbie accessories before!). A lot of them are suitable for popping in the Barbie's hands, too, so they can hold them. You can store them inside the little sink otherwise they're easy to misplace. The Barbies all have moving arms/legs as you'd expect, and you can change their clothes too. The seat rotates backwards and you get a pretty immersable experience with it all! Fun factor ============ My 9 year old niece loves it. She loves playing with it, and I think generally the concept of being a dentist is exciting for her. It's sweet that it's a little toddler in the dentist chair because she also loves children, so I think in helping the little girl feel better about being at the dentist it's helping her feel braver about it too. Verdict ============ It's a high-quality toy, super fun, with cute little Barbie characters that aren't too stereotypical or designed in a way that makes me not want a little girl to play with them. It's promoting career choice for little girls and making them realise they can be anything they want, and also making her feel better about the dentist - so a win-win in all areas! Totally worth it and any kid will love it.

I received this Barbie doll set well-packaged. I ordered it for my niece who loves Barbie dolls, and this set spread a big smile across my niece's face when she opened it. This playset provides hours of imaginative play, and the pieces included are well made and realistic. The dentist doll is particularly impressive, with a white lab coat and dental tools. The other accessories, such as the play toothbrushes and teeth, also add to the realistic play. My niece has been playing with this set for days and has not put it down. She loves pretending to be a dentist, and the pieces included give her the opportunity to do just that. It has been a great way to introduce her to the medical profession. Well this is going to be interesting when our niece pops over and has this to play with. It is certainly a little different and as I imagine just about every child has visited the dentist it is something that they can relate to directly. If it sparks a lifelong interest in dentistry I can well imagine that a good career will be in the offing! The set has many plastic components relating to dentistry and the doll herself can have two different hair colours, ours is the light coloured hair version, the doll does not have much articulation in her limbs but looks very lifelike. The price seems to reflect the amount of accessories the set has and this has a good number of components, not least a child patient doll! I think this will fire her already well honed imagination up but in which direction we will see!

Our granddaughter (6 1/2 years old) plays a game on her phone where she has to take a monkey to the dentist and scale, polish and fill its teeth. I know... what happened to noughts and crosses, eh? So the idea of a doll where she could pretend to be doing it for real was too much to pass over. It's brilliant, and like all toys the use your child will get out of it is only limited by their imagination. Our granddaughter has a very vivid one. It's excellent, and you get a second doll as the 'patient' so there's no scrabbling about looking for something suitable (although you might find that a teddy bear/pony/rabbit/Bambi/penguin ends up having an examination at some point). You get all the tools that you need, made with the usual Barbie standard of quality. We like Barbie in this house.

The name everyone wants. Well established and sought after this is the usual quality barbie. That comes at the price we know but still it outperforms all of the other options in terms of quality and appearance. My niece loves them and has hundreds of pounds worth in a house cars planes you name it there’s a barbie for it! This is no exception and also it comes with some nice little accessories to play dentist with. Great for encouraging them to go the dentist too perhaps taking barbie along! This is a great set, yes at a price but we all know we pay it to see the smile on their face! Great present for your little ones.
