This was bought as a birthday present for my little girl's friend whose name, you guessed it, starts with H :) We thought it would be a nice change from the usual craft sets, brick sets, or dolls and we knew it would sit right in her bedroom, the recipient being an 8 year old girl. She was extremely happy with it! Looks nice as it is but comes to its own when lit up in the dark room. I now need to get a G for my daughter...

This has lost 2 stars for the fact that the timer function doesn't work...which makes it a pain in the ass, having to go into my little girls room to turn it off!As if I left it, it would be on all night long and the batteries run down fast!!It's a shame, as it is a lovely little light, but the lack of timer, is a big downside!I tried it on all of the timers as well, as I think there is 3 and none of them turn it off, which meant when I first got it, I had to replace batteries within a few days till I eventually had to remind myself each night to go in and turn it up manually. I'm doing this, it also means I sometimes wake her, so it is definitely an annoying aspect!I would have returned it, but I'd already put adhesive velcro on it to attach it to the wall!
