Hercules DJControl Inpulse 200 MK2 – Compact DJ Controller with LED Light Guides, Enhanced Features, and Compatibility with DJUCED & SERATO Software

Bought because I needed a small portable set of decks for making mixes that come to me while I’m travelling around the world without the luggage space to bring my full size decks & honestly for the price of these they cannot be beaten. A bit worrying that the cable is built into them rather than being one you can swap out in case anything happens, but it’s a decent braided cable so hopefully should be sturdy enough to last for a good few years, plus I won’t be using it that often. Simple but good, the stems button is a great touch and I’ve even reprogrammed my main controller to have the same function since it’s so useful having them there on the decks. Looks a bit less like a kids toy than the little newmark set with the disco light too which is a huge plus 😆

I’m a bit confused by some of the negative reviews. I checked my computer requirements before, worked out I don’t have the requirements for the stems function, but that I could download an older version of the Djuced software and discovered the controller worked well with my slightly older computer. I’ll upgrade the computer later to get outright full functionality but the controller has 95% of the functions I need as a casual home DJ. After ensuring I had the right version of Djuiced downloaded, and the audio drivers recommended by the Hercules website it was literally plug and play! I was so chuffed. The Djuiced software (proprietary to Hercules and free of charge!), I sense is perfect for 95% of beginners/casuals. Most of the other controllers only work really well with paid or subscription based software, which suddenly makes casual entrance to home djing become very expensive. Essentially with this being a very reasonably priced controller with really good free software, I think this might be the best entry level controller.

Great piece of kit. Lightweight and small, easy to move from place to place. Just comes with serato lite not full package.

Fantastic for home use, I guess for big events as well.

Bit fiddly downloading software from web, taking a bit of getting used to, but otherwise plug and play, does what it says. good starter laptop mixer

I absolutely love this controller. This is my second attempt at learning DJing, and now I feel much better about it. I found it to be really light and small—lighter than a MacBook Air, in fact. It's awesome that you can just put it in your backpack. Djuced is good software, but of course, I've also tried Serato and other software like Virtual DJ, Traktor, and Djay Pro. I found that it works pretty well with Djay Pro and Traktor Pro 3 (if you set up the mapping). I haven't had any problems with the controller, but you must understand that it doesn't have a full EQ (missing mids), and you can't control the FX part. However, if you use Traktor Pro 3, you can map it with modifiers, which helps you achieve almost everything you need. Now I have a Traktor S3, but even with it, I can't say that I'm ready to return or sell the Inpulse 200. It helps me to check my mix or just prepare my playlist for future sessions.

Great product, my 13 year old loves this. I couldnt work out how to use it with the free apps so downloaded the paid for version of the djay app.

Bella consolle semplice e giusta per chi vuole avvicinarsi al mondo della musica come dj. Leggera e facile da trasportare. Per feste in casa, in giardino, tra amici. Consigliata

This was a Christmas gift for my wife and she hasn't put it down since she got it. There are a lot of different programs to download at first but I would say she uses the most and the easiet to learn I'd say was the program DJUCE. She's learnes about how to mix, pace and tempo, as well as other functions. I also get a free party. The controller is Blue tooth capable, but you have to adjust the controls for clarity.

Como primera “puerta de entrada” al mundo del dj, me parece un producto muy recomendable. Su equilibrio entre portabilidad, funciones básicas más algunas extra (como STEMS o pads creativos) lo hacen ideal para aprender, practicar mezclas, hacer sesiones en casa o pinchar en reuniones informales. Si tuviera que empezar hoy, probablemente optaría por esta controladora antes que por algo mucho más caro sin necesidad real. Si lo que buscas es montar sets más complejos, mezclar con muchos efectos, usar un flujo de trabajo más profesional o trabajar con micro/macropistas, probablemente más adelante te quedarás corto. Pero para aprender, experimentar y divertirte desde cero: funciona bien.

Als absoluter Neuling in der DJ-Welt, der bisher nur den "Play"-Knopf kannte, suchte ich nach einem Controller, der mir den Einstieg erleichtert. Der Hercules DJControl Inpulse 200 MK2 hat mich nicht enttäuscht! Die integrierten Lernfunktionen sind genial. Dank der Beatmatch-Anleitung fühle ich mich, als hätte ich einen persönlichen DJ-Coach neben mir. Die Light Guides sind nicht nur cool anzusehen, sondern helfen mir auch, den richtigen Moment für den nächsten Track zu finden. Die mitgelieferte Software ist benutzerfreundlich und hat mich nicht überfordert – ein großes Plus für jemanden, der Technik sonst nur vom Hörensagen kennt. Die Größe des Controllers ist perfekt für meinen Schreibtisch, und er fühlt sich robust genug an, um meine ersten, vielleicht etwas enthusiastischen Mix-Versuche zu überstehen. Für Anfänger wie mich ist dieser Controller perfekt. Jetzt fehlt nur noch der Anruf von Tomorrowland! Bis dahin übe ich weiter – meine Nachbarn haben sich schon beschwert, dass sie meine Sets vermissen, wenn ich mal einen Tag aussetze.
