Great as a single unit but not so good for linking!
I already had a similar butt collecting water off my shed and it's been great. Due to the UK water bills rocketing Northward I decided to collect rainwater from my house to use for car washing, loo flushing etc. As there's no room for a large butt I decided linking two of these was the way to go. Got the first one installed OK. Drilled the blank out for the link and that's where things went pear shaped. The two blanks for the holes are not only on the same level but once the connector is fitted it points upwards! Clearly the manufacturers have not thought this through and have not entertained the idea of linking! I soon realised the second butt was never going to fill. Fortunately I had a spare connector which I managed to seal the end on. I then drilled the holes for the link slightly lower down where they protrude horizontally, see pic. The diverter won't now work as it should but I don't think that's going to be a major issue, I can always fit an overflow or find something to temporarily bung the overflow hole. Now I await the rain to see if it all works. Update to follow.

No need to go expensive
The package arrived on time with no damage. From the time I received the package to being operational couldn’t be more than 10 mins. It was so easy to set up I didn’t even look at the insructions. I haven’t set it up on the drainpipe at the moment but using it as rain water storage for particular plants. Stable and managed to stay in place when we had strong winds. At the price and what you get, worth every penny.

Quite sturdy.
I've bought these before and always been happy with them. I left them behind when I recently moved, so need to start saving the rainwater again. Quite sturdy, easy to use. Stand and pipework enclosed. Was packed in a box.

Drain tap a bit flimsy
It works fine but note that the included rainwater diverter device is designed for standard house downpipes, usually around 68 mm. I dropped one star because the plastic tap and threads were made of thin plastic and required careful fitting to avoid damage and leaks, and I have yet to find the correct size hose fitting for my basic irrigation system. I used a smaller diverter for a 50 mm pipe on a small shed so its positioning was slightly different from the supplied directions to work properly. The butt must be accurately level on firm ground that will not sink under the weight of 100 kg of water. After all that, I expected it to take a few weeks to fill in the 'dry' month of August but it was full after just a few light showers. The plastic tap, despite coming with a rubber washer is not designed to become water-tight using compression like some other plumbing fittings. I tried this and it ended up at an odd angle and still leaked. The leakage path is through the threads so you will need some PTFE tape to wrap tightly around these before fitting. Then you can hand-tighten it as far as the threads will allow and if necessary back it off a little to be correctly vertical. So far mine is OK. When we get enough rain I will report on what happens when the butt fills to the rim.

New water butt
Ideal for a small garden with just flowers pots to keep watered throughout the hotter summer days. Water is easily got by a tap at the bottom of butt. Being small this will be unobtrosive but still functional. There is an ability to plumb collection of rain water from existing guttering, but i would think that your aware of leaves ,twigs and other detitris enteringthe butt. Its certainly made strong ,so should last a good while.
