Very comfortable, old school wool bibs with 21st century fit!
Fantastic bibs. I'm 48, been riding seriously for over 35 years, and put 125 miles per week in the off season here in Seattle. Only reason for not giving it 5 starts: the shoulder straps are skinny. The wool chamois is not weird, feels pretty damn good. I also have the knickers and 3 of their jerseys ... great stuff. 2-3 hours in the saddle are damn comfortable, reminding me of the old-school Giordana bibs I'd get back in the early 80's. Ibex stuff is real deal, you'll love it.

Good for retro-grouch
When the temperature is up around 90 degrees F and the humidity is up there with it, I'm glad there is wool. Actually, my husband is glad. He wears these all summer, rotating between two pair. The non-wool bib part DOES bleed into his yellow wool jersey. He doesn't seem to mind, as long as he is comfortable.Judicious use of synthetics in high wear areas have helped these last much longer than the 1970's French shorts he still morns. Not fun biking with a retro-grouch, but these make it more bearable :)

I really wanted to like these!
Have bought Ibex stuff before, several shirts of great quality, plus the wool dramatically improves the inevitable sweat funk of summers in the SE USA. Bought these cycling shorts recently and was very impressed with the construction quality the breathability of the wool fabric -- they also have the first wool-based 'chammy' I've seen and use an alternate fabric for the seat area to keep the nice wool safe from seat contact pilling. The first commutes with the shorts were a beautiful thing, the 17 miles each way were very comfortable and my office was distinctly non-stinky (well, maybe a tiny bit of wet sheep smell). But when I tried a multi-hour ride I ran into a problem; the wool inner pad cover bunched up along a seam and started to rub on my inner thighs. After 25 miles I had a burning abrasion area an inch in diameter on each side and had to cut the ride short, by the time I got back to my car at 40 miles I was not having fun.Got in contact with Ibex (noticed that another purchaser had reported the same problem), and while they would swap the now used shorts, the construction would be the same for the replacements. This issue will probably not affect everyone, but for at least two of us they are expensive shorts that don't work for long rides.

Hides lack of bulge
Simply the single best pair of cycling shorts you can own. I sometimes have large one in front, sometimes in back, sometimes both- one red, one brown log. Wear these while gardening hides both lumps!!!!!

Love these
No problems at all. They are comfortable and mine have lasted forever. Occasionally, one may need to stop and adjust, but I stop once in a while to stretch my lower back anyway.
