Great everyday rain jacket
I regularly go backpacking and hiking and usually wear a very expensive Haglofs LIM III rain jacket...very expensive but superbly designed. I want it to last me for many more years...my previous one (which I still have) was used extensively for over 25 years! But, for my local daily 'constitutionals' I wanted something a little less 'technical' that would still provide rain cover, not be too heavy, and can be left in the car if necessary without fear of theft...replacement cost has to be low. This jacket fits the bill perfectly. I am 5' 7" and ordered the M size. It fits perfectly...not too long in the arm, and a length that provides good cover over my backside. I can wear this over a light base layer or several thicker layers...it's plenty roomy without feeling baggy. The hood compacts well into the collar and while it is not the best, it does have pull cords to tighten it around the head. I find hoods usually work best over a peaked cap though. The jacket has 4 pockets: two zip pockets outside (R&L), and two pockets on the inside. The latter pockets have no zips and are more suited to light items like gloves, or maybe even a map. I wouldn't put a water bottle in them. The seams are well sealed and it provides good rain protection, though I haven't tried it yet in a heavy downpour. If moisture is felt inside then it is most likely due to condensation from perspiration...the jacket does get quite warm if you're walking at pace, like I tend to. The jacket packs into a small separate draw-string bag, rather than one of its own pockets and this makes an easily stowed lightweight package to carry in another bag or throw in the glove box or door storage in the car. Overall, at one-tenth of the price of my Haglofs jacket, this has become my go-to rain lightweight cover for short walks or car trips. Excellent value for money.

Great quality, looks awesome, but not portable really
This jacket looks and feels great. I got the red one, and it looks much better in person than in the picture (it's not pinky at all, I'm a male and I think it looks great, would also look very good on a female). The material looks like great quality and has many useful pockets. The one thing that I don't love, is that it's not as portable really. I bought it at about 10 quid, reduced from more than 30 (apparently), with the intention to carry it with me every day on my cycle to work, and for the price I'm very satisfied. However, it folds up more than twice as big as (and hence weights way more than) my Regatta Overtrousers, which are also great at keeping me dry, so I wonder if they could have chosen a more lightweight material for this jacket. All in all, recommended jacket. But if you want something very portable, maybe try another one.

Lightweight & keeps you dry
I bought this for my hubby in a 4xl. He’s usually a 3xl, but I thought I’d size up so he could get several layers underneath it in the winter time. BIG MISTAKE! it’s huge, he could get 14 layers on & me underneath it. I would say stay true to size if you want to layer up or size down if you want it as a summer jacket. It’s really light weight & packs down small, so great to fit in a rucksack or bag even your car door pocket. I can’t comment on how waterproof it is….yes I know that’s the whole idea of the review. But, hear me out. He was volunteering outside for 4 days & we know what the good ole British weather is like. So, he went prepared. Too prepared it seems. It was 30+ degrees all the time he was there & not a drop of rain. I knew I should have bought myself something with the money 🤣

Not breathable at all
Very sweaty but pretty cheap, so you get what you pay for?

Ideal raincoat to keep in a backpack.
A roomy coat, great to put over a cardigan or jacket. Comes with a hood folded into the collar. Comes with its own carry bag. It is thin so will keep you dry but not necessarily warm. The only downside is that it isn't easy to fold back into the bag. It looks well made, a downpour will test that theory.

Have not tested in rain.
Very similar to my old one. Sleeves are longer, so I Have to turn up. I bough a MEDIUM. However I am average height, my wife says I am shorter, but I think 5 foot 7.5 ins is average. The cuffs are looser than my old one, which is better as I can get at my watch on wrist. It is longer too, which is better. They call these waterproof, my old one was called waterproof but after 15 minutes in heavy rain your skin was wet. Unless something is a shell, that is two layers, and the cost is nearer to £100.00, a jacket is never going to be 100% waterproof. I wasted money on walking boots for about £50, but they were not waterproof, boots have to be a little in excess of £120.00 to be waterproof. This jacket will certainly keep out the drizzle and cool winds.

Good pack-a-mac at a reasonable price.
Bought for my son, who forgot his coat on a holiday! Thank goodness for Amazon! He says it fits well and it's the same size he usually buys, which is the large size. It came very creased, but I think hanging it in the bathroom while he has a shower should sort out the creases. Good pockets and zips. It's lightweight, and keeps the wind out. Good for travelling to keep in the car. It's not rained yet, so unsure if it's waterproof, but by all the other reviews here, I think it will be.

This light weight rain jacket comes in a stuff bag so you can roll up the jacket and take it with you , it has taped seams, a zipper and Velcro flaps to help keep out the rain. The hood can be rolled down and zipped into the collar for when you just use it as a wind shell. I was very happy with the price and quality of this jacket.

Perfect! Practical, light weight, compact, amazing quality, good for rain and wind. Got a size up so can fit sweater underneath, keep this in mind with sizing.

Jacket does the job. True to size. Well made. In case it's not clear for some people, this jacket is not lined at all. Just a basic, single-layer, rain jacket. Only 4 stars because I don't consider it breathable at all. My arms were sweating after trying it on when it first arrived.

We live in western PA and it can get really cold and windy. We hike up on the mountain where the temps are even colder plus the wind. I wore a lightweight hoodie under it with just a t shirt and it totally kept the wind out and was very warm. Just make sure to keep the pockets closed because wind will find its way through them. I bought my partner one as well because it is so warm. I would DEFINITELY recommend this jacket. The only thing I don't like is the hood. It sticks up kinda far off my head which is why I wear the hoodie. Other than that this is an awesome jacket and inexpensive. I do not need name brands with high prices.
