Great filter,Not needed if youre in the 50 U.S states unless water is heavily contaminated
Best system i have used for quick, easy filtration. You do have to put a little effort in when pressing down the bottle. DONT FORGET TO OPEN THE MOUTH PIECE TO MAKE IT FLOW!

Stay healthy out on the trail!
Last thing you want out in the wilderness are parasites! If you don't have the ability to boil your water then GRAYL's all-in-one water purification container is the answer. This filter is the heart of GRAYL's GeoPress and according to their website removes "waterborne pathogens (99.99% of viruses, 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.9% of protozoan cysts), including Rotavirus, Hepatitis A, Norovirus, Giardiasis, Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, Cholera, Salmonella, Dysentery and more" to include "particulates (i.e. silt, microplastics, etc.); activated carbon effectively adsorbs chemicals, pesticides, heavy metals, flavors, and odors." I have used it at home and in the field and it has lived up to my expectations.

Use for hiking and travel. Never been sick.
I love the convenience of the grayl system. I use it extensively for hiking and travel and it keeps me safe. Taste comes out good as long as I use a decent water source. It leaks a tiny bit when it lays flat for a while, so I'm careful about that.
