Not for a beginner or DIY'er. Takes a professional to install, and works as it should once done. The Value is excellent and quality is great for the money. It fits as it should and described to. Took a while to install and required a bit of disassembling to get to. I am happy with the product and it is strong and keeps the car cooler now.

Do not buy does not come with the white roller at the end of the shade that allows it to wind back in correctly. After it’s unwound one time it’s trash!!

wow, a difficult job, even for a mechanic. my original shade was rolled up around a white plastic tube, this one didn't, it came folded in half like someone else stated. I carefully un rolled it on my kitchen table to inspect the glue holding the fabric to the spring. a lot easier with an assistant. I then decided to attach the end of the fabric to my original plastic tube using a piece of 2 way tape. had I known there was no internal tube on this one, I would have bought a more expensive option. there's lots of videos out there, the hardest part for me was attaching the tube to the end of the fabric.

The plastic pins have a metallic clip inside that you are supposed to remove. But you just can remove these ones. Be careful not to break them...

Just like original just make sure you bring down the headliner from the back half way down to work comfortable because the spring goes in between a rail so when you close the shade is nice and tight if you don’t manage to put the coil in between rail it will fail its a must

The shade failed the first time I tried closing the shade.

I finally got to do this project and after carefully mounting the shade in its location, I deployed it. I noticed right away that it was already sagging. After the shade fully deployed, I heard a "pooing" and the shade became even more saggy. After looking, the remaining spring spool had moved recoiled towards the front of the car. The whole thing sprung back and got tangled in a bloody mess. I realized only after that the one I had taken out had a spool core that kept its shape and allowed for the shade to reel correctly. This one came folded in two in a box and had no core. This is NOT an easy project and I've done a lot of mechanic project in my life. I will order better quality parts. I do not recommend this one. My car is a 2009 Tiguan 2.0 TSI.
