Still LOVE these after 2 years
Love these! They get our dishes clean (most of the time). The only issues we sometimes have with residue are things that are really caked on. If you do a quick rinse before loading dishes into the dishwasher, you are good to go! I like that they are EWG verified, and unscented/no smell. We’ve never had an issue with the pods caking together, and they are powder-filled vs gel. We have been using these for 2 years and have them on auto-reorder!

Switch to these!
They clean even better than the big brand name one. No scent left on the dishes like the big brand name one leaves. I literally love these. Yes they’re pricier, but they’re EWG certified and better!

Good product, but high number of broken capsules in one order
The product works well. My only quibble is that there were 6 broken capsules in the second order I received. I'm not sure if the breakage was caused during production or shipping, but I'm not very happy about it, given the high cost of the product.

Best No Chemical Detergent!
These are so good I've subscribed to them! I will say, I'm the kind of person that rinses the dishes before they go into the dishwasher so that could absolutely play a part but I never have dirty dishes and never have a gross residue on my dishes. This detergent being chemical free makes me feel better about putting baby bottles in the dishwasher!

Clean and Healthy
These pods work great and get our dishes sparkling clean. They are a great option for reducing plastics while still getting a quality wash.

causing something sticky to accumulate on the drain filter
Initially I rated this 5 stars when I started using it 18 months ago. Unfortunately over time it clogs the washer drain with a grey odorless sticky residue. It feels like the glue on the back of a roll of duct tape. It forms thick films that prevent the washer from draining/cycling properly. You could address the issue by frequently scrubbing that filter, but it's quite difficult to remove because it's sticky like glue. It's nothing like the sort of food residue you'd normally expect to be on the filter. I suspect it's coming from the "Polyvinyl Alcohol Polymer" in the wrappers. The wrappers feel extremely gooey and sticky if you touch them when wet. The material doesn't seem to be toxic, but looking at the uses for it, it does look like it would have the ability to cause exactly this problem. Edit: It's been around a year since I switched to Blueland pods, and they don't have this problem. They don't have a wrapper at all, which I think is the key difference.

Safe for your kid's silicone cups and nipples
After having three kids under 2, I went hard core in my search for safe products and the dishwasher pods were one of my first things to research after the Cascade platinum plus left my kids Adent glass bottle nipples and Miracle 360 cup lids smelling and tasting like soap. So I found Aspen Clean on EWG's website and gave it a try. Problem fixed. Fast forward 2 years and I thought I was ready to switch back to the cheaper, popular pods. I went two full days of the kids not drinking water and barely any milk before realizing it tasted like pure soap. We have a new Whirlpool dishwasher and I faithfully clean out the filter. We have soft water. So it's only the pods that changed. I went back to Aspen Clean and all is good in the world again. Also, it got the baked on grease off my air fryer baskets than even Dawn Platinum Powerwash didn't do after letting it soak. So, that was my no brainer. It's worth the price.
