Salsa Medium Original, 12 Ounce

I bought this out of curiosity and because it wasn't too much more than other quality salsas I buy. I'm impressed! I thought it was going to taste just like the hot sauce--it doesn't, which is good, because then there wouldn't be much point to it. It has a nice roasted flavor that is prominent, but not domineering of the flavor. The salsa is thick and chunky, without being watery, and the chunks are small enough that it doesn't overload your chips. The spiciness is a true medium, where some other salsas seem weaker to me. It leaves a little spicy aftertaste, but it dissipates before long. I will be adding this to my tacos and other items, not just eating with chips. The only thing I would improve would be to offer it in a larger jar at a better price-per-ounce. It could be a mainstay if so.

Very hot but very good. An earthy hotness. Use just a little so flavorful.

Great flavor. We always keep a bottle of this on hand. I love spicy and this one has a bit of a kick but not overwhelming.

I love this salsa and can’t find it at many grocery stores in my area. It’s a bit on the spicy side, but I love the flavor.

Three stars for flavor and heat. However, it is way too loose and runny. Not thick like Mateo’s. I like a nice scoop of salsa when I dip. Not a wet chip. Still flavorful though, but I’ll stick to my Mateo’s!

If you like the authentic restaurant style salsas you will enjoy this. It is very flavorful and has a small kick but nothing overpowering. Very good!!

Lid was not on tight and leaked out into box, very disappointed , smelled good , unable to eat because of being opened already , it came in bubble rap and was undamaged just lid was not tight

Good taste(just like their hot sauce). Hotter than I expected. Recommended.
