Excellent for wrapping the exhaust on my diesel heater

Easy to use if you know what you are doing. Suggest a YouTube tutorial if you’re unsure. I fitted it with the exhaust still fitted which was difficult but patience was required. Good value but cheaper on eBay. Seems good quality. Good heat protection and looks purposeful. Wear PPE. Incredibly itchy, shower afterwards.

A great value short length of exhaust wrap, intended for motorcycle use, that has been used on a diesel heater exhaust. The exhaust noise from the heater is intrusive despite having a silencer and most of the sound was coming through the thin exhaust pipe sidewall. Wrapping the Foneso Car Exhaust Wrap around the heater exhaust pipe has significantly reduced the noise. The temperature of the exhaust is kept within the wrap so it is actually possible to touch the wrapped hot exhaust and not burn yourself at all, which is a welcome bonus - although generally the main reason for using exhaust wrap in the first place. The wrap is easy to apply and forms well to the exhaust contours. It does litter the area with irritating glass fibre particles, looking almost like glitter, so you MUST wear long gloves and probably eye protection. It isn't toxic but can be very itchy. There are plenty of stainless steel wrap clamps included as well as concise easy to follow instructions. After a somewhat smokey and smelly initial first use the wrap has cured to the exhaust perfectly and does a great job of reducing the noise.

Bang for buck but unless u know how to put it on as in soak in hot water first it's a disaster

Ich habe das Hitzeschutzband vor Gebrauch 30 Minuten unter Wasser gelegt, dann stramm um den vorderen Auspuffkrümmer meines Fiat 500 Oldtimer gewickelt und mit Edelstahl Kabelbinder gesichert/befestigt. Vorteil: Die Motorhaube wird längst nicht mehr so heiß. Das Ergebnis ist also gut und der Artikel auch. Wichtig! Unbedingt Handschuhe tragen und die Haut schützen. Das Band beinhaltet irgendetwas, das auf der ungeschützten Haut juckt wie Teufel.
