Smooth, quite quiet. Prefer this to the previous Buffalo Creek flip cap.

Poorly described - check the dimensions!!!!
The size guide and description are confusing. The product is good but overpriced. 56-Does NOT refer to the outside diameter of the front of the scope in mm. The actual size of the 56 is 62-66mm outside diameter. A simple photo and explanation would have saved a lot of unnecessary admin. The reply I received from the seller was rude when I questioned them.

Nachdem ich schlechte Erfahrungen mit anderen Objektiv- und Okularschutzklappen gemacht habe, kann ich die Teile von Vortex nur loben. Ich habe daher mittlerweile mehrere Waffen hiermit versehen. Lieber einmal etwas mehr ausgeben und sich dann nicht mehr über defekte oder minderwertige Ware ärgern. In diesem Sinne sind die Vortex Defender Flip Cap Eyepiece ihren Preis wert.

Monté sur mes deux lunettes, une Votex Razor HD gen2 4,5-27x56 et sur une Viper PST gen 2 5-25x50, c'est impeccable.

I accidentally broke front cap on my 'Burris Eliminator 4' scope. Did some research on internet and this model was leading in most reviews I came across. I really like design and very solid materials used for manufacturing. Front lid opening/closing is very smooth. It fits perfectly to my scope. I also appreciate very fast delivery during this hunting season.
