Works surprisingly well
I played with it before installing it, saw that it had decent pull, so went with it. Installation took all of 5min, if that. I scrubbed the place where I'd be mounting the springy part, stuck the stickypad on the unit, stuck it in place, then whirr-whirr-whirr-whirr, drilled 4 pilot holes for the screws and screwed it into place additionally. I didn't use the clear hooky-pad, but instead just drilled another pilot hole in the door and twisted in a screw-hook (you know, one of those '?'-shaped doodads). Done.Door opens fine, no oppressive resistance to overcome, but let it go and instead of flying open as it did before, it gently pulls back and almost closes. "Almost" because the door does bind a little at the striker-plate and you have to give it a little tug to close it.So? Happy.

Strong and reliable,
Been mounted on sliding fly screen security door for six months still going strong. Secured the screw mounts rather than the sticky pads after reading other reviews.
