Beautiful finish!
Beautiful finish. If you're thinking of painting your fireplace/hearth, this lime slurry produces a lovely finish. My woodstove hearth had brick that was dark and not very attractive. You could do the work yourself, although I hired my contractor. I had him over mortar between the bricks for a smoother, more updated look. This product adds a bit of nice texture. It did require two coats, as the brick was dark. I'm really happy with how it turned out! As you can see from the photo, the new woodstove hasn't been installed yet. I recommend finishing with the mineral shield to protect and prevent chalky residue.

Good product with a few things to know
Used this slurry on a brick fireplace and the results were nice. Couple of tips: 1. Make sure you order enough. I used the slurry on a standard size fireplace and ran out of product after 95% completion for first coat. Ended up having to order another 2.5 liters to finish the 1st coat and add a second coat. Generally you will need to do 2 coats. 2. This slurry leaves a chalky finish which you won't like, We ended up buying the Romabio Mineral Spirits to coat the slurry and remove the chalky bits. It's another $45 so be prepared for extra time and cost. 3. Application is messy. Cover any furniture and floors nearby. It does wipe off walls and floors easily. 4. Get a good masonry Brush (you don't need the Romabio one) I used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002YC25NM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Also have a smaller brush to get into masonry lines. 5. If I were doing this again, I would have filled in the masonry lines and then used the slurry. Depends on the look you are going for and filling in masonry is very time consuming. 6. I did the Avario white color but it's more off white / slight cream color. I'd choose a brighter white next time which is my error as I didn't know there were different white variations. The Richmond White maybe a brighter white. 6. I purchased my first bucket here on Amazon and paid $15 for shipping but then found Lowes was selling the same product online with free shipping. Shop around and save some $'s I'm happy with the outcome and the fireplace looks much better than it did before. Happy slurrying.

Instant Character
This product works amazing!!! And a little goes a very long way in my opinion. I used this on a red brick planter and it turned out exactly how I imagined. I “washed off” in some spots to giving it so much character with very little effort. I wish I had more brick accents on my home because I would be using this product on the whole thing!

Super easy!
We had a very dated, HUGE stone fireplace in a renovation that we were doing. The fireplace actually took up two giant walls between the kitchen and dining room. After doing a lot of research about whitewashing either with the paint wash or this product, I chose this to allow the stone to continue to breathe and to avoid any mold issues associated with paint. This was extremely easy to use and clean up was absolutely a breeze! One thing to note, is that one of the benefits to using this product is that you have a lot of options as far as how heavily you want to apply the color - and then you have an infinite amount of time to remove excess using just water. I feel like that’s a bit of a double edge sword because it makes cleaning a little bit difficult. Wiping down this product removes some color/product so you must be sure to DRY wipe and not use a damp rag to clean. All in all the transformation was pretty amazing for a great price and minimal effort! I literally did this in two days, and under two hours each day. That includes prep AND clean up!

Save your money and go to Home Depot
Why did you pick this product vs others?: The item was cracked open when it arrived and they refused to send a replacement. The product is good but the customer service is not good. Buyer beware
