Madan Brass Handle Right Handed Professional Tailor Scissors Scissorsp

I bought these because I saw a piece on business insider’s YouTube channel showing how the blades of scissors like these were hand forged and then the brass handles were cast around them. The craftsmen were clearly very skilled. I wanted to get something for my mother that worked well but didn’t break the bank. These definitely deliver on performance, and may need sharpening at some point (I assume they aren’t using super steels). They are also not mirror polished flawless objects. The handles are quite thin but it’s not a deal breaker because they flare out where it makes contact with your hands. I would rather have these than some fiscars, and these are probably the cheapest high functioning hand forged scissors you’ll ever find despite the shortcomings.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Ordered two because the photos looked nice and the price seemed reasonable. What arrived were two boxes that were falling apart, smelled awful, and didn’t even correspond to the actual product. The scissors themselves are scratched up all over (clearly used) and the paint on the handles is peeling. Just terrible.

The scissors were covered in grease upon arrival and has black grease build up in all the corners. Looks like they have been used them put back in grease bag.

I prize these for many reasons because even though AI and automation will produce almost perfect facimile they can never replace the originals.

Great cut quality and is a hand made product. What you need to be aware before buying: Due to the ancient and primitive production method, even these new scissors will have scratches and marks but are new, is just the way these are made. Watch the business insider video about Meerut scissors. These are heavy but sturdy. Very sharp and not too comfortable on the grip but not a deal breaker. What I do not like: Arrived a little tight for my taste so I may have to loose You need to wash before use because they use something like diesel before shipping. So I washed with water and then applied WD-40 pencil in the joint.
