Product excellent
Product is excellent. Delivery was terrible thanks to Evri. It went to an industrial unit and we had to go and collect it. Seller blamed Amazon and Amazon blamed seller so if you want a refund it would be hassle. Had to talk to a customer service agent.

Generally what I wanted
It goes in quite easy and the 40m will go alot farther then you might think. It is to be used between 3-8mm gaps so if most of your gaps are 4-5mm for example it'll go 2-3 times as far. If gaps are 3mm or less, try and find the thinner stuff. I'd recommend having some on hand since surely you'll have smaller gaps then you think in some places. The provided tool is perfect for the bulk of the work, though doesn't work for the ends. The ends are really more of an art to get in properly, but that's how these tasks can be no floorboard set is the same so all come with their own set of simplicity and challenges Generally what I was looking for in the end

Moth be gone ....
We suffered from an increasing population of clothes moths which seemed to be thriving in 50 years worth af accumulated dust beneath our uncarpeted floor boards in our bedroom. After two days of painful and very dirty head under floor boards hoovering (which wasn't mentioned in the Husband job description i successfully applied for over 20 years ago) I wanted to prevent new dust falling through the gaps dust and re accumulating. I bought two rolls of this stuff (4mm and 8mm versions). It's hard work actually, and you'll need a cushion for your knees, but the pizza cutter roller thingy that come with it is heavy duty and really helps. Metre for metre the 8mm goes much further as you tend to stretch it to fill increasingly thinner gaps. The 4mm version will snap if you stretch it too much...but you don't need to as it squishes into all but the tightest of gaps. If you have uncarpeted floors you'll need to roller it down to the full depth of the pizza wheel shoulder and poke the ends down with a flat headed screwdriver so that it isn't dragged out by the hoover. All in all really pleased. It's been a long job all in all but hopefully that's the end of the moths.

Easy to install, stays in place
Installed recently, but so far has not come out of the wider gaps between floorboards. Floorboards move and another product I've used occasionally comes out when the floor is walked on, so the squishiness of the DraughtEx is helpful there. Generally looks like dark shadows between the boards, quite smart. Installation really easy. The gaps under the skirting boards were a bit tight sometimes, so I ended up using a combination of a phillips screwdriver to hold one end in place and an old credit card equivalent or the plastic pizza wheel provided to install it. It also stretches to do slightly thinner gaps, which is helpful in avoiding chopping and changing between sizes and means you use less. I needed one and a half reels to do two rooms and a hallway, plus a reel of the next size up (approximately 34m2). So far, so good - floors definitely less draughty. Given the holes around our radiators and old knotholes in floorboards, am not worried about damp or air ciculation but considering if you're looking at getting airtight in an old house. The draughts coming from the remaining gaps are noticable, so it is having an impact. Would recommend and use again.

Good Product, Bad Tool
Product is really good and makes a huge difference stopping any draught. Tricky to get started but once going the applicator tool makes light work.. until the tool breaks. Friction on the pivot part caused the plastic to heat up and melt/fail.

It works
Perfectly filled the gap I had under the skirting board and stopped the draught. The only issue I had was the amount I had to buy, I probably used 6 metres max as it was only a small job.

Stretch to install
I used this to fill the gaps between old oak floorboards to reduce the cold draughts coming from the underfloor void. Once you realise that you need to stretch the product as you insert it into a gap thinner than its natural thickness, it becomes easy to insert and expands back to fit snugly between the boards. Unlike some other products it does not seem to ride up out of the gap. Be aware that the stated size e.g. 8mm, is the relaxed thickness i.e. more than the widest gap you can fill, so select a thickness bigger than your biggest gap, as the product needs to be allowed to expand to hold the sides as it is installed or it will fall through. You may need rolls of different sizes if your floorboard gaps are very varied - I found that the 8mm product was hard to install in gaps of less than 2mm.

Instant difference, no more draft
These are incredible! We have noticed straight away there is no more draft since we have suspended floorboards under the house so the cold was coming straight up. They were a pain to fit but just need some perseverance to work it in. The tool works great. Colour is perfect too, can't even notice they are in as it looks like a dark gap.
