Please note that this machine operates on 110V and must not be shipped to Saudi Arabia. I previously purchased one, and when we plugged it in, it was not working (dead).

I admit at first I had my doubts, that’s because I didn’t trust the temperature reading & lacked knowledge of how to operate it. My first batch had chocolate everywhere. I’m not one to give up so I started it up for a second batch which was far More successful. It heats up, tempers well and maintains the desired holding temperature. It is small. I have only been able to ladle chocolate into two molds containing between 21 & 24 individual molds. Depending how fast and sure handed I am, I can swipe off the excess chocolate back into the seeding area of the bowl. Sometimes neatly sometimes rather messy. It functions very well, I just wish it was bigger. They have a bigger one, which is out of my price range. This machine frees you up to make fillings, clean up or just take care of other tasks. You need to be careful when you’re learning to insert the baffle with the two prongs into the unit otherwise you’ll bend them. The trick for my machine seems to require I lift it so the top of the baffle touches the bottom of the piece holding the baffle, while slightly moving it to the right. Both the prongs slip in and the other end also slides into its slot. Hope that was clear enough. The reviewer who posted a broken baffle, must have left the chocolate in the bowl to set up solid, then tried turning on the machine. That would indeed break the baffle. Once you turn off the machine you have to pour out the chocolate on to a Silicone mat or parchment paper. Since it’s tempered it will harden and you can be used again. It’s solidly made.

After reading all the other reviews and doing some research I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase this machine for my chocolate truffle making. I used it at least twenty times over the course of two weeks and each time was a breeze. The complaints I saw regularly from other people were about the noise and some minor confusion with the order of operations. First the noise really isn't that bad. You can still have a conversation in the kitchen, and I listened to some music with headphones for a bit as well. Second, the directions couldn't be simpler! There is a troubleshooting guide that came with the machine, and there are just five steps that are very easy to follow. It was an expensive new toy, but worth every penny for all the hassle it has saved from previous years of tempering over the stove. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I used it twice and it worked fine. I got it out today to temper some chocolate I just made and it had an error. It won’t temper chocolate. It seems to be made of a lot of plastic parts. For such a $669 machine to fail after two uses in less than 5 months is unacceptable. I will work through the warranty process, but so far they want to ship a new baffle for $19 dollars shipping.
