I drive a 2000 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. The engine was rebuilt, every electronic sensor replaced, engine harness rebuilt, new fuel pump etc.., basically everything has been restored on my XJ and I still suffered from the same rough idle and loss of power for over 2 years and could never figure it out! This smoke machine resolved this! The first leak I found was in the trunk, the vacuum line to the rear wiper motor was leaking. I deleted this wiper motor a while ago. I used the air pump for this leak and heard noise from out of the line that was dis-connected, I never knew that the wiper line was a vacuum line that went directly to the engine whoops! So, this was resolved quickly. BUT I still had an issue, I ran smoke through all the lines and tested the vacuum valves etc.. come to find out the vacuum valve on the passenger side was leaking, I replaced, re-tested, and no smoke was coming out, just drove 500 miles and now my idle is much better and I have full power re-stored! This smoke machine did a fantastic job!!! The only thing I slightly disliked is when filling it up with mineral oil I overfilled it, it was hard to see how much was inside through that little glass window, so be careful how much you put in. But overall, I highly recommend this smoke machine, it freakin works and saved me a ton of money from almost paying a shop to diag it for me!

Anyone working on older BMWs needs one of these. I had dreaded bank lean codes. This little guy found a major vacuum leak and a minor one in just a couple of minutes. Well worth the money.

It did what I needed. It does have a terminal shut off on it which is good but kinda annoying when you are trying to work. I bought it because it has its own air pump and I really didn’t want to dig out my other one and buy an air compressor too so the was a cheaper way. If you are working out in the sun with the sun hitting it the terminal shut off will happen. I live in AZ so I can’t be too upset with that part.

Just used this to check for vacuum leaks. It was super easy to get going, just be careful to not overfill it with mineral oil. It uses a very small amount of oil for the amount of smoke it makes. It was super quick to generate smoke and I like that it came with a bunch of extra adapters to fit into any possible hose / piping setup. Its nice and small too which is nice because it isn't a tool I'd use super often.

The media could not be loaded. Everything works good the downside are to many parts outside of the main box making it easy to get caught on things.

It doesn't do what its supposed to do harley any smoke comes out of it. On the advertisement shows a massive smoke coming out of it. And this machine doesn't do that. Besides it came with missing items.
