Ideal Beginner's Telescope
I recently purchased this telescope, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. As someone completely new to astronomy, this telescope is amazing. Ease of Use (5/5): Setting up the was a breeze. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow, and I had it ready for my first observation session in no time. Even though I am a complete novice, I find this telescope incredibly user-friendly. Impressive Optics (4/5): For a beginner's telescope, the optics exceeded my expectations. The clarity of the moon's surface left me in awe. Taking pictures with my camera is not easy though. As you can see with the image I attached it creates a reflection. But again, I'm a newbie. **Sturdy Build (4/5):** The build quality is quite good. It feels solid. Although it is small, which I already expected upon reading other reviews and knowing it's for kids. Accessories (4/5): The package comes with a selection of eyepieces and a Barlow lens, which provides a range of magnification options. Although downside is we can't focus on the moon when we're using the Barlow. But again, I'm a beginner so probably why. Overall Experience (4/5): I bought this to see the blue moon and I am glad I did. It was amazing seeing the moon. I was really fascinated. My husband and I spent hours just looking at the moon. It was so clear. Taking a picture with my phone camera is another story though. But overall I've developed a deep appreciation for the night sky.

Telescope review
We bought the telescope for our son's 11th birthday and he absolutely loves it. Very simple to assemble and light weight, great for beginners. He really enjoys the smart phone adapter for taking pictures and videos. Overall it's a great product and perfect gift. Good price and lots of fun for the whole family.

Great Telescope
I had bought 2 different telescopes from 2 different stores and both of them were awful. Finally I decided to try one from amazon and after reading all the great reviews i decided to give this one a shot and boy im glad i did. This telescope was awesome. It is well worth the money! I bought this as a gift for my 9 year old who is in love with space and this telescope is so user friendly and my daughter can even use it all on her own. Its so easy to adjust the lenses so that you can clearly see close ups of the moon and stars. I would highly recommend this telescope. 👌🏼

Great Gift!
For my child's 7th birthday, I did not want to give her another toy to lose interest in and that would soon add to the clutter. She'd been asking about getting a telescope so I went with this one after doing some research. I like that it is not too complex for her to maneuver and use on her own. The set up of the telescope itself was simple and this, unlike many of the others I've seen, has a tripod that extends for ground level use. I'm looking forward to many more enjoyable evenings checking out the sky. I am also glad she has something she can grow to use even moreso as she gets older.

Frustrating to Use (or try to use)
Happy that some folks were happy with this telescope . . . we weren't. Very disappointing. We were looking forward to some moon and Saturn gazing, got it correctly assembled and never actually saw anything in the sky. Complicating things is that the so-called "finderscope" affixed to the side is not correlated with what the telescope sees so getting an object in the finderscope means nothing, and there is no user's manual. Moreover, Googling brand name "Honslis" (on the telescope) for help or a YouTube video or two yielded no results - none. So, we sent it back for a refund after trying literally everything, including reassembling it and ensuring that no lens caps were on, yet all we saw in the sky was darkness. The seller touts that: "If you encounter any problems, please contact us and you will be covered by lifetime after-sales guarantee, money-back guarantee and world-class customer service". OK, great, but nothing on how to contact them with a problem or for much needed tech support other than perhaps, by asking a question. But, that's not useful customer service or tech support.

Nice starter for occasional use
What do you expect for ~$75? It's mostly plastic, the tripod is barely useful, the finder scope isn't necessarily well aligned with the main scope. But it works, it's lightweight, inexpensive, and will let you get started without spending much. I purchased it shortly before the 2024 total eclipse, added an inexpensive solar filter, and used my better tripod and it was well worth the ~$100 I spent on the telescope and solar filter. If you know you're going to want to do more frequent viewing and/or astrophotography, you should look for something sturdier with tracking abilities.

Fun first telescope
I bought this telescope for my son who has always had a fascination with the stars, planets, and moon and he now is old enough to truly start exploring what is out there. Having never had a telescope myself, this is a great starter telescope. It was easy to set up, easy to use, and provided really good magnification. It is also lightweight and seemingly sturdy enough. I haven’t played around with switching the lenses or using the app with my phone, but I can only imagine a these features will only add to the overall enjoyment.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!! BEST TELESCOPE FOR BEGINNERS!!!!
I purchased this telescope for my husbands bday, he absolutely loved it and within 1hr we opened it up and was setting up ready to view! Much to our surprise we set it up easily and quickly after a few steps reading on how to use a telescope we were able to view the FULL MOON that night, it worked so great and the kiddos were able to even make out the craters on the MOON! This was a perfect gift not just for him but for the family. We can't wait for summer when we can see even more !
