I'm rating it at five stars bc the sound is great! Mounting it on our motorcycle handle bars was very easy, running the wiring to the bettery was just a matter of how to wind it under the frame, where it wouldn't get damaged. The bad: the instructions are very confusing because you have to decipher between all the languages for each sentence. Instead of giving instructions set for a language at a time, each sentences is printed in several languages. The new position for our mirrors, made our mirrors hit our windscreen. We had to turn the speakers into each other to make the mirrors stop hitting the windscreen. We finally came with a solution to move the mirrors to be to the sides of the speakers, not behind them. We used a small piece of aluminium bar (about 1 1/2 inch long) that we fastened to the original spot where the mirror would've been behind the speakers, we drilled two holes the same size and used a bolt (10mm x 1.25 pitch) to fasten one end to the spot behind the speakers, placed the small bar parallel to the handle bars and fastened the mirror to that, we supplied pictures. We painted the bar black to match the bike. Also, the wiring supplied was barely long enough to reach our motorcycle battery, we have a Honda SilverWing. The red wire could reach the battery ok, but since the black wire was exactly the same length, we had to snip the end off and add an extra length (like a pigtail) to make it reach the ground end on the batterry. The speakers do not come with a fuse, so we also added that for our safety. Over all, we like the quality of the sound, really easy to pair up to our phone. Maybe JBL should consider moving the fitting for the mirrors to the sides of the speakers instead of behind the speakers.

Received these and was so impressed with the quality when I opened the box. Installed the on my Honda Silverwing. Had to buy mirror extensions as the speakers will cause the mirrors to hit the windshield. Like many other reviewers I agree there’s not a lot of bass but other than that they sound great. Loud enough for me to hear with a full face helmet. Much easier to install than others I have put on motorcycles in the past.

Generally speaking, I am a big fan of JBL products. However, this is a $200 pile of garbage. Bought it, a week later, my bike was stolen. Fast forward 3 months. Buy new bike, finally install speakers and within 90 days it stopped working. One day it works. The next it doesn't. Warranty won't cover it, Amazon won't cover, so here I am. RUN!!!!!!

Installed on my Victory Hammer. Install was easy. Sound is great for a non amplified set up. I actually have several JBL speakers. All great! However, these speakers have power failure issues. They will not power on anymore and there is voltage making it to them? So far their tech support has asked me to check the battery connection. They do work after a 15sec powercycle. But it only lasts a day or so. Waiting for their next move

Originally I rated these one star because they were impossible to mount to Yamaha. But JBL came out with a solution. You just need to contact them and they will send you the reverse thread adapters. Rated 4 stars because they don't have a fuse holder inline with the positive battery lead, and they are not quite loud enough once you're at speed....
