A different treatment of the Battle of Britain

This is one of a series called "Great Battles of the World" being co-produced with Periscopio Publications in Greece. While I've seen some very good books on the Battle of Britain, this book definitely belongs in the first rank. It is replete with photos, tables, color drawings & sidebars, and those drawings cover both men and equipment. And the aircraft shown aren't just the usual fighters & bombers; there are Avro Ansons and Westland Lysanders, for instance. There is a chapter on the Italian contribution and another on the proposed German invasion, including a couple of "what if" scenarios if the invasion had in fact happened. In short, there is enough new here to make this entirely recommendable, and I look forward to more volumes in the series.
