The thread seemed to be a little rough I had a stainless steel street el to attach and had a rough time getting it in as far as I needed. Worked out fine though

I can see the difference in the water output. Less hard water spot.

It helped a little, but scale still appears on our black sink and in our tea kettle. We just tossed a kettle that was full of scale and would not respond to scale removers.
