Honestly performed much better than I thought it would! No it doesn't clean every feather off, you need a good drill, and it takes a little getting used to, the feathers go everywhere. But for processing 5-10 chickens, it's worth it. It cut our defeathering down to about 5-10 minutes. Great price and easy enough to use.

Worked so well on my turkey! Almost all feathers removed in seconds. I scalded turkeu for 45 seconds at 150 degrees, then ised this on a battery operated power drill. seconds later only the thick wing/tail feathers plus a few stragglers(like 8) remained. Saves so much time withban affordable price tag.

Don't buy this. 1) Its not the standard 3/4" fingers, 2) its not assembled, 3) the drive shaft is literally a bolt, 4) the bolt is not centered on the plate its attached to 5) the bolt has no nut on it, so it will walk loose. You can literally make better for less than the purchase price with some fingers and PVC pipe.

We ordered this last minute as the plucking machine we rented would not turn on. This was our first time to ever process our own chickens so we didn’t know what to expect. I will say it definitely helped speed up the whole process. If you’re working smaller scale this will be sufficient. Even larger scale it will work just obviously won’t be as fast as the machine. Shipping was as expected with no delays which is very important to us when ordering from a company and in this case as we needed it the day before we ordered it lol Overall durable and lightweight, beginner friendly, easy to clean. Don’t let the small size fool you either.

Works no matter how much pressure I applied it did not tear the skin. Also no issue with attacking it only drill never came loose. Perfect size no need to over pay this is what you need. Simple easy to use. I held the wings and used this tool didn’t hurt my hand at all it. Best for the money.

Not as handy as stationary drum, but hey that attachment costs fraction of drum price. Tried it on quails, with hot water soaking method. Worked very well, some few feathers were left there and here but compared to manual plucking it's a game changer. Will definitely work on chicken too (though wings may need extra effort)
