This is a great and thorough system to use with my cameras. I consider it like a monitoring system of its own. I have this connected with two cameras I got for my apartment. Following the instructions in the manual was simple, even for someone who's never done it. I'm using the app associated with this device, instead of the ones on my cameras. Storage capacity is important, so being able to utilize 8TB is important for not needing to constantly delete old archives.Overall, this is a great system to use. I'm glad I can also add an additional six cameras if I need to monitor a larger space in the future. The support for a long ethernet makes this perfect for homes too, enabling the protection of spaced out rooms.

The unit comes with the male output and male input. I really need this unit, but I can’t use it with the power configuration.

I have five different brands of IP cameras and none of them will work with this unit. It seems like an impressive well-built unit with some amazing features that only works with its own cameras though. It says it has limited compatibility but I have found it to have no compatibility so far. I would only recommend one to purchase this unit if yoy had all GWSECU cameras.I’m pretty disappointed because it has phenomenal features and an excellent easy to understand set up manual. I thought most IP cameras were mostly universal but I was wrong.

I have another NVR that I use for my older style cameras and I use a computer to record for the newer cameras. I wanted to move he recording off the computer and this met that need. The directions are pretty simple and downloading and installing the software was simple. There are directions for doings this.
