Voice Remote for WiiM Mini and Pro Audio Streamer, Push-to-Talk, 4 Music Preset Buttons

I would like to say this product is great! It does everything as advertised, and I’m very happy with it. I bought the WiiM pro to use with my SVS prime wireless speakers, to get the most out of them. The prime wireless already have a fantastic 192khz/24 bit dac, and are high res capable through the dts play Fi client. Dts play fi does multi room audio , hi res and all of that, but it doesn’t support Apple Music, and I have a very large Apple Music library with hundreds of albums and tens of thousands of songs. I can import my playlists into tidal, which I also use, but it’s a hassle. Anyway, the big problem with dts play fi is it glitches, locks up, and drops all of the time. It’s not stable at all. The WiiM does all the same things plus adds airplay 2 and chromecast built in , so I can stream lossless audio from whatever service and device I have.( I also use YouTube music and Amazon music). The setup is easy , and the app actually allows you to search multiple libraries concurrently for music you want to listen to. I used the the digital optical connection directly into the prime wireless master speaker, as that gives better fidelity over rca out, and it works great. I never had a single drop, or studded steaming over Wi-Fi. The sound is great too, and I noticed that the bass was had more weight and prominence to it then when using dts Play-Fi and the prime wireless dac that way. I tested the WiiM with tidal over Wi-Fi , Spotify connect, Amazon music over Wi-Fi, AirPlay from my Apple library, and chromecast from the YouTube music app. They all worked flawlessly , and had great sound quality, with tidal , Amazon , and airplay 2 sounding the best , as I was streaming lossless music over a lossless connection. I also have my computer connected through rca in from the computer to the WiiM and rca out from the WiiM to the SVS prime wireless. It played with no issues, but it didn’t sound as good because then I’m using the dell xps’s shitty dac. Good thing is, I can airplay from my computer within the iTunes software to the WiiM and bypass the crappy dac for much better sound. I A/B compared the same songs both ways and it was a dramatic difference. Also, when use airplay or chromecast you can still use the remote (purchased separately) to skip and pause/play tracks and control volume. You can also do this from the app too, but I wanted the remote for when I want to put the phone down and still control music. I’ve been testing now for six hours straight and I am totally impressed with the sound quality , ease of use, great functionality of the app, and consistent connection. I highly recommend this as an affordable audiophile grade product. ( it has the same Texas Instruments 384/24 dac as some much more expensive products). Five stars for the win!

I like that I can control my Wiim Mini without always needing to use my phone or iPad. Has all the most useful functions like mute, play/pause, next track, previous track, and volume up and down. Also has a button for changing inputs but I don’t use that (the only input I use is WiFi). The 4 presets are very nice. I put in 2 Radio Paradise channels (Main Mix and Mellow Mix) and 2 Amazon Music stations. The remote is also nicely made, of good quality (not premium but not cheap or flimsy either) and feels good in the hand. The remote seems to connect to the Wiim via Bluetooth so works from great distances and even from another room so no worrying about IR line-of-sight issues. Very happy with this purchase.

Works very well--once you get it set up. The instructions with it didn't work for me (nor the website instructions). Before I returned it I tried the website troubleshooting instructions which described how to start from scratch with the Wiim Pro unit setup and that worked easily to set up the remote at the same time. I was also pleased to find out you can quickly press preset 1-4 twice and get to preset stations 5-8!

This is a good product; it works well with the modern WiiM devices. However, you can only have ONE remote paired with a single WiiM device. You cannot have several remotes in different locations controlling the same device.

Remote works great

If you're reading this, you probably already know the Wiim Mini totally lives up to the hype, with fantastic sound quality. It just didn't come with a remote. The remote takes the Wiim experience over the top. Remote volume and song skipping works perfectly with no hassle or issues! And on top of that, you can request songs or channels with the voice remote!! I'm in audio heaven. Mad props to Wiim for an outstanding product line.

I really love this WiiM Mini with the voice remote. For a few years I streamed music using the analog output from my Echo Dot. Sounded ok but I was reading reviews that convinced me a streamer/DAC combo would sound a lot better. The Echo Dot doesn't have a digital out so I needed the WiiM. I loved the convenience (one reviewer called it a party trick lol) of Alexa to tell the Echo Dot just to play music, or even something specific like "play music from 1972". With the voice remote for the WiiM I can still do all that, and have my lossless music too! And I convinced my fellow paranoid boomer friends that since you have to push a button to talk, Alexa isn't spying on them! (I know, just being in the same room with any smart phone is the same thing as being around an Alexa device but try telling my friends that).

I bought 3 items a few months ago. This is useful. However, 1 item was broken. Souce+Mute button clicked, however anything happen.(Of course, battery is new)

Performance good, as expected, and easy to pair with WiiM Pro.

Je ne sais pas comment j'ai pu m'en passer avant sur le Wiim Pro. Dommage qu'il n'y ait que 4 boutons de préselection, sinon rien à dire.

I bought this little remote for the use of my partner who absolutely hates that Alexa and Nest require spoken word commands to listen to her favourite news radio. So I installed a WiiM Mini in the kitchen and pre-programmed the three most used radio stations as presets 1-3 on the remote. Now we can start, stop, and control volume up and down from the remote and nobody has to feel like a twit talking to an AI speaker. Also much more convenient than digging out a mobile device and launching an app. The remote itself has decent feeling buttons that respond consistently, with a nice heft to it so it doesn't feel like an ultra cheapo thing. It has a few functions that we'll never use, like the built in mic for Alexa commands -- exactly what we're trying to avoid by using a remote! -- but I assume we won't get confused by that doing something weird if accidentally pressed. So far after a few days the new remote-enable Smart Home streaming is working perfectly and I trust it will keep on doing so.

Lo compre para poder controlar mi dispositivo wifi... Esta genial poder subir y bajar volumen, adelantar o regresar canción, o apagar y encender el aparato para la música sin tener que usar el celular o sacarlo de mi bolsillo.... Ligero pero se ve de calidad aceptable, el diseño muy minimalista y muy intuitivo para su uso... Lo recomiendo altamente!!!
