The perfect "bridge" for our older monitors
If you are into PC building like we are, you know the frustration of having a great second monitor that only has VGA, while your new graphics card only has DisplayPort. We picked up this Moread DP to VGA Adapter because it’s a simple, plug-and-play solution that doesn't require any weird drivers or external power. The build quality is surprisingly solid for the price. It features gold-plated connectors that help with signal stability, and the locking latch on the DisplayPort end is a huge plus — it actually stays put and won't accidentally wiggle loose if you move your tower. We’ve been using it to run our secondary screen at 1080p (1920x1080 @ 60Hz), and the picture is crisp with zero flickering or "ghosting" artifacts. One thing to keep in mind is that this is uni-directional, meaning it only goes from a DisplayPort computer to a VGA monitor. Also, since VGA is an analog signal, this will not carry audio, so you'll still need to use your PC's speakers or a separate aux cord. For a 25-year-old student trying to expand their screen real estate on a budget, this is a much smarter move than buying a whole new monitor just for a different port.

Awesome value, works perfectly!
I bought this to connect a CRT monitor I recently purchased to my modern system and I was a little skeptical it would do the job well for the price but honestly it exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend this little guy. It completely passes through the monitors EDID identification so whatever the monitor supports, it will do, and the monitor just appears natively in your OS. I've tried all kinds of refresh rates and resolutions from 640x480 at 120Hz to 1600x1200 at 70Hz and it always just works the compatibility is great. I can't detect any kind of input lag, rather the zero input lag nature of the CRT is highly apparent and welcome. In my case I've connected it to an RX 5700 XT along with two other displays (one of which connects natively over DisplayPort and the other which connects through an HDMI->DVI adapter) under KDE in Linux and it just does exactly what I needed it to do.

Works as described.
If you have a perfectly good VGA monitor and need to upgrade your PC that has DisplayPort (DP) ports, this is a cost effective option until you decide to buy a new monitor.

DP-VGA Adaptor
The adaptor worked as advertised. Plugged directly into the display port cable of my PC and monitor worked without any issues.

Great adapters that took monitors with VGA and a PC that didn't..easily made it all work together!
You have to love computers....especially when nobody can agree on what type of connection system to use between the main unit and the monitor. In this case it was a Dell.... had two DisplayPort connectors, one HDMI, and that is it. So when we use dual monitors--- the systems are never configured right I am left to figure it out. I had been using a VGA cable on one with a VGA to HDMI adapter that came with the system and a USB to VGA for the other. It worked, well, most of the time. The monitors simply only had VGA connections. The biggest issue was the HDMI adapter--- if you bumped it at all or it just felt like it, you either lose signal or the more fun part--- it would reboot the entire system for no reason....and then no video until you reboot again. That leads me to these adapters. I bought the two pack and off I went. Arrived the next day and plugged them in...worked like a charm, except I couldn't see my primary monitor--- and then trying to go back with my old adapters was giving the same result. Gotta love Dell for that one. So I left the adapters installed in the DisplayPort ports and did a hard reboot of the system with the power button---- it sorted itself out. All that I had to do was switch the monitors left and right. Once that was done--- they worked great. I do really like two features--- first is the VGA cable actually can screw into the adapter securely. This is a big deal with the rats nest of wires that are under the desk. The second was also just as much of a big deal---- the DisplayPort plug is locking. For some it may not seem like much, but when everything gets pushed, shoved, crammed into corners, and overall simply abused--- it is reassuring to know they cannot be knocked out or pulled out. Overall-- work as expected and needed. Price was great and the issues listed above were the system I was working with, not the adapters....just providing a bit of background for others that may end up in the same boat at some point or another.
