I used this on my 2005 Ford f150 with the notorious 5.4L 3v engine. I was reading oil pressure in the 40s which seems suspiciously high for this engine so I'm a bit skeptical of the accuracy of this gauge but I have no way to disprove it. Maybe I've just got great oil pressure? The fittings were great though, everything went together well and nothing leaked. I purged the pressure with the check valve, oil came out when i pushed it (as expected) but didn't leak after I let go. Word of caution: route the hose away from exhaust or other hot components. I cooked mine on the exhaust manifold and spilled oil everywhere. It's obvious but worth repeating so you dont ruin yours like I did.

I purchased this just over 30 days ago. Well, silly me thinking I was trying to be budget conscious but also getting a more deluxe kit to help me diagnose a potential fuel delivery problem on a car that I am working on. I own 4 Pontiac Fiero’s that I am very proud of. Of the 4 Fiero’s, 1 is a custom 3800 supercharged conversion, 1 is a big project that I presently have the engine and transmission removed and working on installing a modern Corvette engine, and the other 2 are show quality and only 20k miles on each. That being said, I have run into an issue with my 3800 supercharged Fiero and needed to diagnose if I have a bad fuel pump or other fuel delivery system issue. Unfortunately I was finishing up a complete overhaul of the brakes on another Fiero and caliper rebuilds that I didn’t open this BRAND NEW DELUXE Fuel Injection tester kit I got from Amazon and try using it when it was delivered. I finally got to it just today and the gauge was showing ZERO line pressure, yet when you depress the Schrader valve on the fuel rail, it squirts gasoline all over. The adapter pieces that connects to the test gauge didn’t properly fit, etc., O-rings on various adapters were either missing or half wedged into the connectors, etc. When I finally realized this kit was absolute junk, I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a nice kit for $90, and as soon as I got that Harbor Freight kit hooked up, bingo got my trouble shooting done without any problems. This kit I got from Amazon is garbage and I can’t return it because I’m just outside my return window. I recommend anyone considering buying this kit to buy something else, and definitely NOT something from the same company. I guess it’s my fault for waiting so long until I used it, but to be a complete pile of junk is also not something that you should expect. I bought this earlier because I knew the Christmas holiday was coming up and I would have some time to get on this fuel issue. Thankfully there is a harbor freight in my area and they had a nice kit. It cost double of what this Amazon purchase cost, but I wasted so much time with this that it wasn’t worth trying to save a few bucks, not to mention that money is lost because I can’t use this garbage kit.
