Calypso Dry Oil Wet Skin with SP30

I have skin that burns very easily so I am always looking for effective products to prevent sunburn. For my body I use Calypso Once a Day SPF30 and SPF20 which has always worked for me. Unfortunately the Once a Day product isn't good for my face: it tends to run into my eyes when I am in the sun and perspiring. I tried Calypso once a day cream SPF40 For Kids which worked but left me looking pale and was also a bit heavy for my skin. I then saw this product and decided to give it a try and I am glad I did. On our annual trip to Thailand this was an important item to protect my face and I have to say it was perfect. Easy to apply, fairly light and absorbed quickly. I didn't burn once despite not applying this Dry Oil more than 3 times a day. I should add that I rarely venture into the sunshine during the danger hours although this year I did on a number of occasions. I made sure that I applied the lotion before going into the sea and even after 30 minute sessions I never burned. A new 'Must Have' sun protection item for me. An added bonus for me is that my skin on my face felt really good all day: no tightness at all and it was like I'd moisturized. It smells like sun protection on application but that soon goes-not an unpleasant smell at all. The important thing is this stuff worked perfectly on my fair skin and I have used less than 20% so it is economical too: only used it for my face so you will use a lot more for whole body protection than I did. Thanks Calypso, another life changing sun protection product for me. If you are fair skinned you will understand that statement: for us it is always a Pfaff going out in the sun if we don't want to get burned. Just use it as often as you need it to be safe.

It's a good product over all and it works well. Easy to apply lasts ages too. Creams just don't work for me - I burn like they're not there at all, and I have quite hairy arms which doesn't work well with cream either, so I have to go for this. But any review that says it's not greasy is lying to be honest. Okay so it's not like covering yourself in veggie oil, and it does absorb better than a lot of creams, as well as being better than any other dry oil type protection I've tired, but it does leave an oily film which can transfer to other things for quite some time and it also can stain clothing. Smells very strongly of coconut, which is nice if you're on the beach but annoying anywhere else. Not perfect, but it really does work well!

Great stuff, I use it when I play golf, it doesn't make my hands greasy and protects me from the sun. Recommend it to all my golfing mates.

As freckled and fair skinned, ive tried many sun screens....i regularly use this as it works for me...no prickly heat, easy to apply and smells nice.

I used a friends then simple had to but some, totally non greasy.

Amazing sun protection. Dry to the touch. Soaks in immediately. Amazing protection.

Used this on a regular basis for years now, in very hot places such as Tenerife in 30+ degree sun. My skin is quite sensitive but this never fails me - easy to apply, non-greasy once it soaks in after a few minutes and inepensive. Great 'holiday fragrance' to it also!
