Used this on my high mile dirty diesel and cleaned the engine like new, the new oil stayed clean for several hundred miles after

Okay, for background, I've got an old, high-mileage petrol car that hasn't seen a lot of love over it's life. That changed almost two years ago when I bought it and restored it. Bear in mind I'd done an oil and filter change just a year before this experiment. So, last summer, I carried out my second service on it, and oil is obviously going to be the core of that service. I did as instructed, and added this to the existing oil (hot) then let it run for the prescribed time. I had noticed the camshaft visible from the oil port was pretty black in places, and amber in others. I drained the old oil. It was black and dirty as expected - I only do about 3000 miles per year, mostly short trips, meaning frequent oil changes are even more important. I changed the oil filter and refilled the engine with some Comma 5W40 fully synthetic oil, then let it run and heat right up for 45 minutes. I then dropped that oil. It was utterly filthy. I pulled the new filter out, and it too was really nasty. I let the engine sit and drain for ages, until cool. I put in another new oil filter, and went to put in the final oil. I noticed the crankshaft was clean, free of black sludge and *almost* all the amber colour had gone. It was a serious difference, one which I hope had taken place throughout the engine. I filled up with Castrol Edge 5W40, and it's been smooth running ever since. I'll definitely be using this again. Yes, the way I'm doing it is expensive, but it's getting an old engine clean and keeping it up and running nicely. Good oil is the lifeblood of any engine. I do believe that this product, used in the way I've described, will keep that oil flowing everywhere, and allow it to maximise protection.

I've used this product as a flush every other oil change. Lately I have been using this in existing oil to do a flush. After an empty I then use a flush oil with a Liqui Moly Pro Line Engine Flush which also removes a hell of a great deal of residual muck out of the engine even after the use of the the Motor clean. Going forward I will simply drain and run a Litre of the pro line flush with 3 litres of X - Flow or cheap 5w-30 to flush.

I came across this product by pure flute scrolling through youtube and came across this product liquid moly as i was getting ready for a major oil and filter change two oil changes the third was the real change my oil has been in the engine for over a week now and it is still clean after doing 200 miles i have noticed a massive difference in acceleration and power through the pedal this product has cleaned the inside of my engine highly recommended if u value your car if not it is a fantastic product in any engine highly recommended will be using again all their products

Este limpiador de cárter para motores diésel es buenísimo, ideal para coches como el mío, con 15-20 años. Se añade por la tapa de aceite, se deja el motor al ralentí durante 10-15 minutos y luego se cambia el aceite. Toda la suciedad acumulada en las paredes se desprende. Recomiendo usarlo cada 30.000 km y, después, poner el aceite recomendado por el fabricante para alargar la vida del motor.

I have a v6 diesel engine that had an over burned super black oil. Total engine oil capacity is 8.5 litres so had to use two bottles of clean solution. What i noticed is that oil thickness was dramatically reduced, and in 10 min when i drained the oil, it was running more like water (which I think is a very good thing). Also, from what I could see through oil cap opening, metal color started to appear. One thing else I did: I added 2 litres of oil after cleaning was done (before changing oil), I turned the engine on for ~10 seconds, then drained the added oil. It was equally black!! After changing filter and adding the oil, changes I noticed are: 1. oil color improved dramatically. Normally the new oil will become super black immediately. This time around it was golden on the stick!! 2. No noticeable fuel consumption difference 3. Engine sound is a bit better, especially knocking sound when accelerating is happening less (or became quieter). Overall, given the cost of two bottles, I think I’ll repeat this process every 20k. The only difference in process is: i will change oil to a much lighter grade (like 5w20), then add the cleaning solution and run the process. It seams that part of the cleaning was lost in fighting the bad oil which i would have preferred to not waste the cleaning solution for, rather use the solution to clean the engine itself.

Seit einigen Jahren benutze ich mit der "Liqui Moly 5200 Öl-Schlamm-Spülung" auch das "Liqui Moly 1019 Motor Clean" beim Ölwechsel an meinem Audi A4 B6 1.8T (Motorcode BFB). Der BFB Motor ist dafür bekannt, dass das gerade bei Benutzung von Long-Life Ölen in Verbindung mit verlängertem Wechselintervallen Verkokungen entstehen, die dann das Ölsieb zusetzen können. Die Öl-Vorlauf-Leitung vom Turbolader ist vom Durchmesser auch recht gering und sollte sich nicht zusetzen. Von daher habe ich mich seit dem Erwerb meines Audi für ein normales, jährliches Ölwechselintervall bzw. Ölwechsel nach 15.000 km Laufleistung entschieden. Bei Verwendung eines Long-Life Öls wäre das verlängerte Intervall bis maximal zu 30.000 km Laufleistung oder 2 Jahren möglich, das tatsächliche Intervall variiert aber in Abhängigkeit der individuellen Fahrzeugnutzung. Nun ist es ja so, dass es immer welche gibt, die irh Auto sehr lieben und ihm zur Pflege mal was Gutes tun wollen. Im A4-Freunde Forum gibt es daher sehr viele Liebhaber und diese haben sich auch durchaus Gedanken gemacht was man über das normale Pflegen wie z. Bsp. Polieren, Versiegeln, etc. hinaus machen kann. Hierher stammt auch meine Idee dazu die Reinigung des Motorinnenraumes mit den Liqui Moly Öl-Zusätzen durchzuführen. Das folgende Vorgehen ist ohne Gewähr und geschieht auf eigenes Risiko. Jeder ist selber für seine Tätigkeiten an seinem Fahrzeug verantwortlich. Ich schildere hiermit nur mein Vorgehen, mit dem ich bei meinen Fahrzeugen genau so gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe. Vorgehen bei der Motor-Reinigung beim Öl-Wechsel: 200 km vor Öl-Wechsel zusatz von Liqui Moly 5200 Öl-Schlamm-Spülung: Etwa 200 km vor dem Öl-Wechsel kommt die Liqui Moly 5200 Öl-Schlamm-Spülung (300 ml) mit ins Motoröl. Hierbei darf der maximale Ölstand natürlich nicht überschritten werden, da sonst der Katalysator beschädigt werden kann. Die 300 ml reichen für 5 Liter Motoröl aus. Im Audi 1.8T sind 3,5 Motoröl inkl. Filter vorhanden, ich habe immer eine komplette Dose verwendet. Nun werden in den nächsten Tagen die 200 km gemächlich und normal gefahren - dies muss nicht an einem zusammenhängenden Stück sein. Sportliche Fahrweise und Volllastfahrten sollten laut Liqui Moly vermieden werden. Erster Öl-Wechsel mit günstigem Öl und Liqui Moly 1019 Motor Clean: Nach den 200 km wird ein erster Öl-Wechsel mit einem günstigen Morotöl durchgeführt. Es sollte schon den Spezifikationen des später eingefüllten Motoröls entsprechen, darf aber halt günstiger sein. Als Motoröl verwendte ich bisher das Mobil 1 New Life 0W-40, demnach kommt beim ersten Öl-Wechsel auch ein günstiges vollsynthetisches 0W-40 rein. Dem neuen Motor-Öl füge ich dann das Liqui Moly 1019 Motor Clean hinzu, wobei natürlich wieder darauf geachtet wird mit dem Zusatz die maximale Füllmenge nicht zu überschreiten. Bei dem ersten Öl-Wechsebleibt der alte Öl-Filter drin. Nun soll der Motor mit dem Zusatz ca. 10 Minuten im Standgas laufen, wodurch der Zusatz sich schon ordentlich verteilt und einige Verschmutzungen im Motorinnenraum löst. Danach erfolgt der normale Öl-Wechsel mit dem guten 0W-40 und dem neuen Öl-Filter. Ich persönlich habe mit dem Vorgehen recht gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Das erste Öl ist deutlich dunkler und kommt tief schwarz aus dem Motor. Selbst beim Motor Clean sieht man deutlich was hier noch darüber hinaus aus dem Motor gelöst wird. Verwendet wird es bei meinem Audi A4 B6 1.8T (BFB) regelmäßig, beim Toyota Aygo Benziner (1KR-FE) habe ich es auch schon mit gutem Ergebnis eingesetzt. Die ganze Aktion kostet natürlich zusätzlich ca. 60 € pro Öl-Wechsel, der Motor dankt es aber mit ruhigem Lauf, weniger Verschleiß und einem längerem Leben.
